Ice Age Begins: Cryostasis Tech Demo

By Kieron Gillen on December 20th, 2008.

What do you mean 'I don't think a second date would be a good idea?'

This is quite interesting, if only because you don’t see many people do it anymore. 1C have released an almost 1-gig Vista techdemo of their forthcoming FPS/Survival-Horror boat-based Cryostasis. It’s a canned demo which walks you through the grin corridors of the boat where it’s set, and shows off some of its fancier engine elements. By Jim Rossignol on January 24th, 2008.

The game is a horror FPS set in Arctic ice-cap, in which your character finds himself exploring the North Wind, an “old nuclear ice-breaker trapped in an icy grave.” As always, there’s a twist:

Alex is no ordinary meteorologist as he possesses a unique ‘Mental Echo’ ability that allows him to relive the final memories of the dead and change their actions in the past, changing their future.
