The Witcher 3 Beards Some Gameplay Footage!

By Jim Rossignol on June 10th, 2013.

Fresh from the glowing green world of the Xbone conference thing of despair: The Witcher 3 gameplay! It looks fucking incredible, frankly.

It Came From E3: Dark Souls 2 Trailer

By Adam Smith on June 10th, 2013.

There are lots of loud videos of computer games being shown in a large room in LA. You may be watching live streams of the bizarre occurrence online but if you have other things to do, such as actually playing games or sitting in the sun and drinking lemonade, then fear not, because all of the ones relevant to our non-console interests will find their way here eventually. Take Dark Souls 2 – the next entry in the superb action-RPG series is coming to PC and we won’t even have to organise a petition to make it happen. With that in mind, I spent the last couple of hours paddling to America and have retrieved the new trailer below. It has terrible music.

Easily Riled: COD – Ghost Dog Trailered

By Adam Smith on June 10th, 2013.

nothing to see here

The E3 videos for COD: Ghosts, or COD: DOG as we really should be calling it, are apparently ‘gameplay reveals’. There’s very little in the way of revelations though, unless the idea of following a dog as well as a man is the sort of overhaul that might make the war-tour appear to you. I reckon dogs improve everything by at least 25%, with the exception of cookery classes and intimate physical moments, but I’m still not particularly interested in wandering behind one during a war. The first video shows precisely that – at one point a character says he’s getting depressed and at the point I felt the sort of empathy that David Cage dreams of evoking. The second video involves scuba diving but, regrettably, the dog is gone by that point. You can watch them below.

Shadowy: The Greatest Thief The World Has Never Seen

By Adam Smith on June 10th, 2013.

I was prepared to act dumb, pretending that I hadn’t been able to make out the gruff witterings of a silly voiceover. Probably just rats. I’d even turn a blind eye to the live action robbery and harrowing arrowing that accompanied the sounds. Nothing to see there. Despite a pleasing shot at the end, which brings back delightful memories of the original games’ beautifully stylised mission briefings, the latest Thief trailer isn’t really worth watching, although you can do so below. It’s worth drawing attention to the trailer because of what it isn’t. Not a jot of the technically superb and far more stealth-friendly in-game footage that I’ve seen with my own eyes is shown, and that is a shame.
