A wacky cast of seriously mentally ill people.

Back in 2008 it came to our attention that a German team, Daedalic, were planning a slew of new adventure titles. Of those, the environmentally themed A New Beginning has recently received it’s German demo, The Whispered World has been released and was flawed but charming, and finally there was Edna & Harvey: The Breakout. Edna & Harvey: Trailer Breaks Out

German point-n-clicker Edna & Harvey: The Breakout, which we mentioned last week, has received its first trailer. And thanks to the magic of Mr Charles Vaughn we now have a version of it we can stream. Charles is our hero.

Daedalic plan to release Edna & Harvey in May in Germany, although an English-language version has not been given a date.

Daedalic: Navigating The Adventure Labyrinth

Germany really seems to be standing up for the point and click adventure. With varying results. At the shinier end is Deck13′s Ankh, but more often by the time they’re in our English-speaking hands the humour is completely lost by poor translations and localisation. Nevermind the crappy puzzle design that’s currently endemic throughout the genre.

So, is there hope on the horizon from German developers Daedalic Entertainment? They’ve got not seventy, not minus six hundred, but three new point-n-clickers due over the next couple of years. Here thems are:
