Forever Undead: Dean Hall And Indie Stone Talk Zombies

By Adam Smith on April 1st, 2014.

Mid-way through Rezzed, I decided that somebody must have cloned Dean Hall. The DayZ creator was everywhere. One minute he was talking about the most frightening moment of his life – hanging off the side of Everest, I hear – and the next he was playing games on the showfloor. If he wasn’t admiring Maia with an excited twinkle in his eye, he was telling interested parties about how much he digs Project Zomboid. The man loves games and since he has so many interesting things to say about them, we should be thankful that he enjoys talking about them quite as much as he does. One panel involved The Indie Stone folk and Hall talking about zombies. They offer a defence of the oft-maligned enemy and it’s often compelling. Behold.

Team17′s Flockers Is Basically Lemmings

By Alice O'Connor on March 29th, 2014.

Wake up, sheeple

Oh, how excited Worms, Worms 2, Worms Armageddon, Worms World Party, Worms Blast, Worms 3D, Worms Forts, Worms 4, Worms: Revolution, Worms: Clan Wars, and Worms Crazy Golf developers Team17 were when they announced they were making something new. “The most important game we’ve worked on in over a decade,” they called the “explosive new IP” Flockers. Huah!

The chaps over at Gaijin Entertainment are still waxing their moustaches and sewing cool patches onto their jackets, not quite yet ready to roll out War Thunder‘s tank-adding expansion Ground Forces. This weekend they plan to invite “a really large number” of new players to join the closed beta testing, rewarding pilots who’ve been completing daily tasks in the base game. Oh, life’s always easier for the teacher’s pet.

Or you could simply be at EGX Rezzed in Birmingham this weekend, where Ground Forces will be playable by all and sundry. Even Adam and Graham. Read the rest of this entry »

Hear Ye: Rezzed And London Drinks This Weekend

By Adam Smith on March 27th, 2014.

The infinite flanks of RPS are bringing a unique brand of revelry to Britain’s major cities this weekend. One day, RPS Social Clubs shall sprout up in every town, village and hamlet, but for now we’re limiting our good times to Birmingham and London. The former is host to Rezzed, where Graham and I will be seeking the popular vote by shaking hands with babies and kissing local dignitaries on the jowl. If you are visiting on the Saturday, or happen to be in the vicinity of Birmingham, do join us for drinks. As for London, it’s the monthly meet-up at The Blue Posts. More details on both below.

Eurogamer has announced a new look to what was once known as Rezzed. Now called EGX Rezzed 2014, the remit has been expanded rather, now featuring PC, indie and now console games. Whatever they are.
