By RPS on September 25th, 2011.

If you were (or are, as it’s still going on) lucky enough to be among the gaming hordes at the Eurogamer Expo you might have noticed a booth with “PC Gaming Since 1873″ emblazoned upon it. Inside are twelve games. Some of them are even PC games! We saw them. We judged them.

Find out which one was the winner of our yearly super-indie award accolade, below!

Agent 47 To Attend Eurogamer Expo

By Lewie Procter on September 5th, 2011.

Perhaps not in person, but in spirit. IO Interactive are sending lead producer Hakan Abrak to give a presentation on Hitman: Absolution to the good people attending E2 this year. We’ve already had a sneaky peak at some early footage of Hitman 5 in action, but hopefully this will be a chance to see it being played properly, and prod at the mind of the bloke producing it.

We’ll be there, front row hopefully. Listen out for me asking Hakan how many guns are in his game.

Have A Play Of CS:GO At PAX And E2

By Lewie Procter on August 19th, 2011.

According to the official twitter account for Counter Strike: Global Offensive, they’re going to be demoing their new game at PAX next week, and at Eurogamer Expo next month. Not only that, but if you turn up to give it a try, you’ll get given a key for the beta. Sounds like a good chance for us to have an RPS vs Readers showdown to me, although if/when I get killed, I’m going to blame it on lag.

Any of you lot going to PAX and/or Eurogamer Expo?

There is ONE WEEK LEFT to submit your game for the Indie Games Arcade (aka THE ROCK, PAPER, SHOTGUN INDIE GAMES ACRADE ARCADE), which is talking place from 22nd to the 25th of September at Earls Court, as part of the Eurogamer expo. If you are selected then seventy billion people will see your game! Hell, at least half a dozen of those people will be me. Want some more details? Read the magically extended version of this post for information provided by dashing Indie Games Arcade organiser, David Hayward. He’ll organise you right up.

Indies: Enter Eurogamer Expo Indie Arcade!

By Jim Rossignol on July 6th, 2011.

Yes, submissions for this year’s Eurogamer Expo Indie Arcade are open, and the final batch will be judged by the Hivemind of Rock, Paper, Shotgun. It’s true! This year’s event, as last year, will be officiated by the men of this website, which will result in LIFE CHANGING PRIZES (tbc) for the winners. The details are here, but basically you need to get in touch with David Hayward with the details if your game before the 19th of August, and it would need to be in some kind of playable state for the event on 22nd of September. So if you are making in indie game and want awesome coverage, applying is a good idea. A very good idea. A mandatory idea.

Speaking of Expo stuff: the early entry tickets are now all gone, but there are some day tickets still available for the event, which will feature games, Games, GAMES! And we’ll be there doing hi-fiving and PC stuff. So you should come along.
