Why Playing FIFA Causes So Much Aggression

“I’ve been playing FIFA competitively since 09 but it’s only as of about January this year I learned to control my aggression towards it,” says David Bytheway. Bytheway, a competitive FIFA player from Wolverhampton, reached last year’s FIFA Interactive World Cup final in Rio De Janeiro, but fell at the last hurdle to Denmark’s August Rosenmeier.

The game finished 3-1 with Bytheway squandering a first half lead, compounding the disappointment of missing out on not just the $20,000 prize money, but also an invitation to the 2014 Ballon D’or – FIFA’s prestigious real life world player of the year awards ceremony.

The Videogame Monument I’m Most Proud To Have Built

'Mm, your arm, it smells delicious.'

This isn’t about building willies in videogames.

Or, well, not literally.

I’ve built castles in Minecraft, multiplayer maps for Half-Life, underground lairs in Dwarf Fortress and, yes, many schlong-shaped monsters in Spore, but the game-related object I’m most proud of creating is a spreadsheet.

Another Fine Messi: Fifa 13 Demo Out Now

Anyone else reckon Roberto Mancini would have been in an indie band if foot-to-ball wasn't taking up all his time?

I thought I’d have a kickaround on the Fifa 13 demo so that I could actually sprinkle the pepper of opinion upon the scant sliver of information in this post. Sadly, it doesn’t work for me and I don’t know why and don’t have time to correct the issue. The Fifa 13 demo is now on Origin. It probably has new animations for celebrating goals, maybe even a Usain Bolt type thing to try and bring all of sport together, unless there’s a license to pay for that particular pose. Now I’ve made myself a little glum by imagining/realising that it’s possible to copyright a pose.
