It’s almost like Valve are trend-setters or something. Electronic Arts have announced that they’re pairing up with TV company Film Roman (The Simpsons Movie, X-Men: Evolution) to bring us an “animated prequel” before sci-fi horror shooter Dead Space is released. Sounds a bit like “we’re making a big old CG trailer” to me, but EA and Film Roman have said that it will be a “TV special”, suggesting greater things. Film Roman President and COO Scott Greenberg was quoted as saying “We’re really looking for this to be an event. We feel we’ll attract the hardcore gamer, but we’ll also get sci-fi and animation fans as well.” Film Roman, who did a lot of the production work for The Simpsons Film, as well as producing some other random stuff, could be up to make a job of it.
