GTA V Nature Docs To Make Attenborough Proud

Since its release earlier this year, Grand Theft Auto V [official site] has consistently wowed with its fan made content. From car-spouting guns to The Incredible Hulk, every day heralds in tonnes of new stuff – so much so that it’s impossible to keep track of it all. Every now and then, though, something really cool catches my eye. These David Attenborough-inspired Los Santos documentaries fit that bill. Have a look below.

Steam’s GTA V Sale Ad “Misleading” Says UK Authority

The Advertising Standards Agency in the UK has upheld a complaint against the Valve Corporation over a misleading Grand Theft Auto V [official site] ad during the Steam Summer Sale.

The kerfuffle is over advertising that suggested GTA V had been discounted by 25% (from £51.98 to £38.98) when in fact it was a bundle featuring GTA V which had been discounted.

Why Grand Theft Auto V’s Steam Summer Sale Shenanigans Look So Scummy

This is still showing up on my logged-in front page at the time of writing

Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 [official site] has made an appearance in the Steam Summer Sale. But the ensuing discussion is less “let’s all go a-heisting” and more “what is this shady nonsense you’re trying to pull?” I thought I’d take a peek and see what was going on.

The Best GTA 5 Mods: Drive Trains, Be Police And More

Yeah, the writing on the gun is backwards. WHAT.

Yes, alright, well done Rockstar. You’ve made a massive open world filled with dozens of scripted stories, activities ranging from deep sea diving to golfing, plus UFOs to summon, cars to tow, and much more. Sure, fine.

But where’s the ability to fly? Where are the telekinetic powers? Where’s the mode that causes all the pedestrians to become psychotically violent and armed to the teeth? Why can’t I drive the trains?

The modding community answers all these queries with an emphatic “hello there” and a dangerous disregard for sense, reason and logic. I’ve dived into the fast growing archives of to find the very best on offer.

GTA 5 Pedestrian Riot Mod Is A Laugh Riot

Yesterday I wrote about and made a video of the Vehicle Cannon mod for Grand Theft Auto V [official site]. Today I decided I’d try out the pedestrian riot mod, which replicates a cheat from an old version of GTA by having angry pedestrians spawn with machineguns and rocket launchers and begin to fight you and each other. There’s a new video below – and, yeah, I couldn’t resist running it with the vehicle cannon mod on at the same time.

GTA V Vehicle Cannon Mod Adds A Gun That Fires Cars

There was a time, before mod tools were robust and modding came with a chance of career improvement, when mods were frivolous little things. That’s what the lack of official modding support in Grand Theft Auto V [official site] brings back. The ability to make sweeping changes to the world of Los Santos may yet arrive, but for now I’m enjoying small scripts that let you fly, that make all the pedestrians mad, that make your guns fire cars.

I’m really enjoying the mod that makes your guns fire cars. See the video below.

Best GTA 5 Videos

Imagine this, but a big golden statue made of frozen piss.

Want to watch the best GTA 5 videos?

Well hello and welcome to the last annual Horascars Awards, a celebration of what the Grand Theft Auto 5 [official site] community has managed to do so far with the PC-only camera-positioner and slowmoifier Rockstar Editor tool. They’re like the Oscars only they carry no weight whatsoever and are mostly a framing device for me to show off some cool videos.

-wait for applause-

Thank you, thank you. I’ve scoured the depths of Reddit, YouTube and every other internet well for the very best in Los Santos-based video entertainment. The sheer graphical meat of GTA5 coupled with the easy to use tool has created explodey-bang showpieces, comedies and even the odd bit of pure digital photography. Read on!

The RPS Verdict: Grand Theft Auto 5

Grand Theft Auto V [official site] is our Game of the Month for May. To steal its jewels and show them to you, a crack team of criminals – Adam, Alice, Pip and Graham – gathered inside the RPS safehouse to gaze over the blueprints, outline their crimes, and discuss how much they like driving within the speed limit.

Graham: I am wondering: how do people feel about the game-game part of GTA V? I’m wondering whether our warm feelings towards it have more to do with Los Santos as a place for exploration and japes than it does its cinematic story and crim sim noise.

Or rather, since I enjoy the missions quite a bit, whether I’m the only one.

We live in a land of plenty, in which the bountiful supply of videogames to play can feel like a gift in one moment and a suffocating deluge in the next. That’s what Game Of The Month is for. How To Install Grand Theft Auto V Mods

Grand Theft Auto V [official site] modding hasn’t been given any support by Rockstar, but this is PC-land and PC players will not be restrained. If you’re interested in learning how you install mods for the game, I’ll briefly lay out some basic instructions below. It’s extremely simple, but it requires a couple of pre-installed files before most mods will work, and it can be intimidating if you’re new to modding and the instructions are never all in one place.
