Demo Forces Us To Accept Meridian: New World Is Real

By Ben Barrett on July 7th, 2014.

John and Nathan both exclaimed the seeming impossibility of Meridian: New World, the one-man built fully-featured single-player RTS, last year. I’ve got some unfortunate news for them (which the easiest way to deliver seemed like a post on their website) as not only is it available on Steam, but there’s now a demo. For the past two years, he’s been very probably going out of his mind to synthesize Meridian: New World, a fully featured traditional sci-fi RTS. I mean, just look at that. I’m pretty sure it would take me two years to Photoshop a screenshot that nice – let alone build a full game around it. The game itself sounds quite impressively tactical, too – if a tad generic.
