You Winarium Or You Diearium: Survarium

A new developer diary for Survarium, which is not STALKER 1.5, STALKER 2 or STALKER Online, fails to dispel such notions entirely by referring to anomalies and artifacts at the first possible opportunity. A finely edited montage of horrors explains how the world died this time around and creeping botanical nightmares make even the talking head sections quite unnerving. Then there’s explanation of levels, purchases and perks, and the two game modes: team combat and co-op. Then, right at the end, a man with a magnificent beard appears to talk about One More Mode (cue: Daft Punk’s One More Time).

Kingdoms: The Crytek MMO?

File under ‘slightly spurious’, but it’s worth having a chin-scratch about the mounting evidence. Back in January, a Crytek level designer revealed via LinkedIn that he was working a “Not announced Online MMO FPS” (so that’s doubly online?), at which point the gates of silence swung shut. Now LinkedIn’s at it again, with a Crytek senior IT manager proclaiming to the world his involvement in “Designing, testing and implementing as part of the development team the systems infrastructure for an MMO online game.” On top of that, Crytek have recently registered a clutch of domain names involving the word ‘Kingdoms.’ Something is up. Something… Planetsidey?

Latest Huxley Cinematic, Ruminations

Cinematic CGI trailers are all pretty and everything, but for the purposes of blogging they’re something of a waste of time. I want information, and when we’re faced with the cinematic trailer there’s really not much to go on. Give us in-game, or give us death!

Anyway, German site PCGames has the latest Huxley cinematic trailer up, and it’s rather pretty. There’s not a great deal that we can infer from it, other than people will probably have speed and stealth powers as the game goes on. And that it’s The Reds versus The Blues, again.
