Get Your Dote On: Prime World Properly Launched

By Alice O'Connor on April 1st, 2014.

Push mid and win

With so many Dote ‘em ups loose in the world by now, who has time to play them all? Especially when they’re only in open beta testing. Best to wait until they’re done enough to officially launch, then mosey on in and see what they’re all about. Now’s the time to hit Prime World, as after months of open beta testing it’s been declared cool to fool and has actually, properly launched. It’s free-to-play, of course.

Beta For A MOBA: Prime World Opens Up

By Adam Smith on June 21st, 2013.

Prime World is a free-to-play MOBA with a slice of meta-game on top in the form of castle construction and town-building. Expanding the town and modifying its structures provides new talents, which can then be attached to heroes, providing advantages in combat. Sort of like a HOMM and DOTA stew? The game has been in closed beta testing but this weekend, it opens up to the wider world – “The first Open Beta weekend has arrived! The Beta Weekend will start at June 21, 11AM PST (2PM EST) and last until June 24, 1AM PST (4AM EST). No invitation is necessary and no progress will be wiped once the beta ends, so you’ll be able to carry on with your heroes and castle in all future battles after that.” There is a noisy trailer below.

More For Your MOBA: Prime World

By Jim Rossignol on April 15th, 2013.

Russian talents at Nival are throwing their gauntlet into MOBA world with an impressive offering: Prime World, which blends in alternative game modes (to that standard three-lane thing) and adds castle-building and RPG bits. Your management of your hometown will directly influence your powers as a fancy hero: “In the castle, players can build various buildings (from mining facilities to decorative structures), create new talents, and select sets of talents to equip their heroes with for upcoming battles. The construction and infrastructure of this town is an important gameplay element in Prime World. A good town results in a combat advantage.” Somehow I think I’d rather play with that castle-building tool than actually get stuck into the MOBA, but I am an old man, with many troubles.

There’s a video below, which announces a closed beta sign up.
