Size 5 “Probably” Making New Ben & Dan

But the Mexican will never have his revenge

Despite cancelling third Ben and Dan game Revenge of the Balloon-Headed Mexican, Size Five Games (formerly Zombie Cow) have begun design-drafting a new adventure starring their foul-minded/mouthed point’n’click avatars. Or, at least, they’ve gone down the pub and brainstormed and even made a bunch of ideas and puzzles, ending up with something which might just turn into a full game. The Swindle remains project no.1, but happily we might be in for more crudified Lucasartsesque merriment too. It even has a codename: SOBAD.

Balloon Head Dead, No Redemption

Sad pinata donkey thing.

Well this sucks. Those stupid idiotholes at Zombie Cow turn out to hate everyone in the whole world and have shelved their Time, Gentle,men, Please, follow-up, Revenge of the Balloon-Headed Mexican. SADFACE. I hate them.

Boo – it seems they’re doing it for the very sensiblest reasons. Dan Marshall explains, “It felt like we were going over old, worn ground. Again and again. We’ve done all this. We’ve seen it all before. There’s nothing fresh or new and exciting about it.”

Ben & Dan Part 3 Revealed

We already knew that uber-indie adventure series Ben & Dan/Time Gentlemen, Please was due for an episodic sequel, but we didn’t have a title. And without a title then, why, we are all as dumb as chickens. Now we have a title, which means we are as smart as astrophysicists. More important, there are details on how Zombie-Cow’s marvellously funny but, let’s be honest, a little traditional, games are evolving a little.
