The Dead Linger Coming To Steam With New Engine

By Nathan Grayson on September 24th, 2013.

The dead just won’t go away. I’ve tried calling a re-exterminator, setting out traps with bait, asking them very nicely – everything. But still, they linger. I can’t complain too much, though. I mean, The Dead Linger really does have quite a lot going for it, what with its planet-sized sandbox of undead survival, fully interactable environments, and wrenches that are used not for wrench things but for merciless bopping. The only problem? It is a bit creaky and kind of entirely hideous. Or at least, it was. Fortunately, those lingering (and perhaps occasionally walking, and hopefully thriller-ing) dead are in for a major face-lift. Death Sentence: The Dead Linger’s Prison Update

By Adam Smith on February 18th, 2013.

It’s been a long time since we checked on the enormous procedurally generated zombie survival antics of The Dead Linger and the alpha, which is currently available for purchase, has changed considerably in the interim. The next update, which should be live tomorrow, adds more variety to suburban settings and a new prison environment will now appear in the world. The previous update completely overhauled world generation, aiming to create more believable landscapes and locations. Both update videos are below.

Detour Is Competitive Road Building, Odd

By Jim Rossignol on April 5th, 2011.

Bomb that bypass!
Sandswept have finally revealed some of their long-in-development competitive roadbuilding game, Detour. Yep, it’s a bit of an odd one. It’s basically sat in the SimCity realm of laying down infrastructure, while at the same time being multiplayer and competitive. Using bombs to blow up enemy roads is as much an option as normal building business. It’s a little weird, as you can see from the video walkthrough I’ve posted below.

The game is out later this year, in “Q2″. So that’s Detour.
