New Settlers 7 Patch Adds Free Co-Op Mode

The Settlers 7 is to be getting a new patch, which will add a co-op version of the game. Which is a pretty fantastic thing to find thrown in there for free. It’s also part of the fourth DLC pack called Settlers 7: The Two Kings (do you see what they did there), which adds in the new mode as well as some new maps to go with it. But to be clear: the co-op goes to everyone who updates with the patch, regardless of the DLC. More details thisaway.

Settle Down: Free Settlers 7 Add-On

Would you look at it! Look! At! It!

It’s such a shame that Settlers 7 was overshadowed by the DRM issues around it. It’s a wonderful piece of work, as pretty on the outside as the inside. You have to manufacture these great, heavy supply chains, working out all the puzzling kinks in them, and then you start swinging them around your head and beating the crap out of your opponents. Brilliant. As of this week it’s just hit version 1.11, with the new patch adding not just a new map but a whole new “Occult Science” branch for the tech tree. Did you play it, readers? Settling Settlers 7 Beta Sign-ups

Ubisoft have announced that the beta test for new management-strategy sequel Settlers 7 will take place from 19th of January, but it’s limited to North America and the United Kingdom residents. You can sign up over here, but it does require a Fileplanet account. I know! All these conditions… The beta will encompass both multiplayer and single player elements of the game, which is looking rather cute.
