Space Pirates And Zombies Out, V1.0 Demo

The 2D space shooter with RPG bits, Space Pirates And Zombies, has now emerged from its beta, blinking into the atomic light of day. You might recall that perfidious Mr Smith wrote about the game rather favourably, but you don’t have to take his words as representative because there’s also a v1.0 demo for you to play. That is all.

LASER! LASER!

I’m happy to say that space shooter S.P.A.Z. (the official abbreviation, not mine) encourages the oldest form of games journalism procrastination. I meant to start writing this three hours ago, but instead chose refresh myself and play the game for “just another few minutes”. If you’re a fan of the space shooter genre (top-down, high-tension battles with plenty of RPG persistency), there’s your capsule review. The game’s currently in a beta that you can access just by pre-ordering for £9, a la Minecraft. But I’d be remiss if I didn’t write a little more, because it wasn’t guilt that finally stopped me playing. It was the latest in a long series of ragequits.

Spotlight On Biscuit – S.P.A.Z.

This week’s Spotlight on Biscuit sees UK games commenter Total Biscuit asking WTF is Space Pirates and Zombies, a commendably eccentric top-down action RPG in space type thing. If what you see takes your fancy, you can pick up a demo of S.P.A.Z. or pre-order for beta access over on the game’s official site. Speaking of fancies, when was the last time any of you lot had a French Fancy?
