Why Are You So Terrible At EVERYTHING In A Sword Game?

By Nathan Grayson on January 9th, 2014.

If your sword game doesn't include a sword throwing option, it gets an automatic 0/10 from me. No exceptions.

I’ve been meaning to write about A Sword Game since laaaaaaast yeaaaaaar. Or rather, the tail-end of last year, which was like a couple weeks ago. But then the holidays happened, my hands temporarily fell off (as they do every year), and well, here we are. Anyway, ASG is a brilliant little Ludum Dare entry from Starseed Pilgrim dev Droqen. Some of the highlights are below.

I Cannot Figure Out What To Do In Starseed Pilgrim

By John Walker on March 14th, 2013.

The game isn’t new, but we’ve stumbled our way past it like the blundering fools we are. Starseed Pilgrim is a puzzle game that offers you a peculiar set of abilities, and no instructions. No guidance how to use the “seeds” you can plant to grown variously coloured blocks, nor any guidance as to what you’re supposed to be doing with them. Finding out is the point of the game. I failed at this game.
