Zombie Shooter 2: May Contain Zombies

I had a bit of a lost weekend with Team Sigma’s pint-sized genocide Zombie Shooter earlier this year, leading some to wonder why the hell I was talking about that when the sequel was on its way. Well, I’m mad, stupid, tardy and obstinate. What of it? More importantly, Zombie Shooter 2 has now arrived, as prophesied by The Ancient Men Of RPS Comments Threads. But whatever could it be about?

Unready: Zombie Shooter 2 Teaser Demo

This is a little old now, but in the aftermath of Alec discovering the joys of Zombie Shooter I thought it worth mentioning that a sequel will be coming out this year. In the proverbial no-brainer, it’s called Zombie Shooter 2 and has a 50Mb hyper-short Smash-TV-esque arena-blaster teaser. The full game should be out this year – “soon”, they said in July – and includes improved graphics, more zombies, vehicles and over fifty-kinds of weapons or accessories. Including a splendid chainsaw. As all chainsaws are splendid. Footage of the tech demo follows…

No Brains, Please: Zombie Shooter

There is but one cure for illness and grumpiness: shooting lots of pretend things, over and over again, barely pausing for thought, food or oxygen. Die! Die! Die! You are all metaphors for my problems. Die!

It was in a such a mood that I wandered over to Sigma Team’s 2007 game Zombie Shooter, one of those many cheap-sounding games lurking in the Steam store for a few quid. Zombies? Shooting? There’s no way to get that totally wrong. Let’s risk it.
