If I have read the entrails of this internet correctly, then it would seem that the open beta part of Vindictus’ EU roll out is happening this afternoon. You can currently sign up on the site, but the actual servers are down, so no playing. But “what is Vindictus”, you might ask. It’s an online action game of melee combat, persistent and quasi-MMOish, built in the source engine. It features a lot of creatures getting very killed by weapon-wielding characters. Take a look a the video below for an illustration of how that happens.

Be Vindicated With A Euro Vindictus Beta Key
By John Walker on September 12th, 2011.

We’re very good at giving you things. For instance, today, we’d like to give out 2,000 closed beta keys for the Euro launch of Vindictus. But with there being at least 2,001 RPS readers, you’ll need to be quick. If you head below the jump you can find details for how you can get your very own key.
Vindicated: Vindictus Coming To Europe
By Jim Rossignol on September 7th, 2011.

Vindictus, Nexon’s free-to-play fantasy melee game, will be arriving in the European inter-tubes very soon. To celebrate that they’ve put out a trailer, which you can see below. Of course if you are a North American or reside therein you have been able to play this game for about seventy-nine months. So North Americans, is it any good? What do we have to look forward to? Your Old World cousins need to know!

Vindictus Looking Meaty In Launch Trailer
By Jim Rossignol on November 18th, 2010.

Free-to-play hack ‘n’ slash MMO Vindictus is looking snazzy with its Source-powered fighting scenarios, and it’s now out of beta and live in North America. The launch trailer (below) shows off some of the beasts you have to fight, as well as some of the melee moves that feature in the game. It looks pretty bold for an MMO, however unMMO that might actually be. Word from Nexon is that Vindictus is coming to Europe “soon”.
Any North Americans (or IP-spoofers) had a go?

Spider vs Man: Vindictus Beta Starts Today
By Jim Rossignol on October 13th, 2010.

UPDATE: Bah, US/Canada only. Rubbish!
Later today, at least, which I suspect means this evening UK time. This fancy-looking Source-engined MMO caught my eye a while back with its hack ‘n’ slashy combat. It’s free-to-play, too, so not cost to dipping in and seeing what the grind/community/micro-paymentisms are like. We’ll be taking a look, anyway. If you want to understand why then take a look at the game footage I’ve posted below. The in-game stuff kicks off after 1 minute, after the meaningless blather about darkness and stuff getting forsakened. Man, do you hate it when you people go around forsaking? Tsk. Nevermind, look at those dudes getting spectacularly killed! That’s the stuff.

Ursine Mega-Biff: Vindictus
By Jim Rossignol on July 26th, 2010.

Vindictus is… not live yet. Which is a shame, because the beta seems to have caused quite a stir. It’s got me interested enough to download it (except you can’t at the moment, sigh) and take a look, anyway. It’s a Source-powered, free-to-play multiplayer fantasy combat game (with RPG toppings) from Nexon. Basically, dudes get all kicked and some unfriendly bears get stabbed. Other types get smacked over the head with a big stick. You can see all this in the trailer below, which, after some waffle about blood and stuff, get to some serious weapon-waving business. Go eyeball, and perhaps we’ll get around to beating up some stuff when it comes online.
