Zeboyd’s Cosmic Star Heroine Is On Kickstarter

By Jim Rossignol on October 2nd, 2013.

Zeboyd, veterans of the lo-fi RPG, have set their sights on a sci-fi espionage RPG called Cosmic Star Heroine, and to make it they’re hoping to raise $100,000. That shouldn’t be too much of a problem, as they’ve already raised over $40k. Why so popular? Well, the team are promising a game “inspired by Chrono Trigger, Phantasy Star & Suikoden.” They explain: “Alyssa L’Salle is one of the galactic government’s top agents and always manages to save the day! But when she accidentally uncovers a dark conspiracy, her own government outs her as a legendary spy and the people’s champion!” Something very similar happened to me, I have to say.

Needless to type, you can see the pitch video below and make up your own mind.

Guardian Of The Galaxy: Zeboyd’s Cosmic Star Heroine

By Alec Meer on June 27th, 2013.

Zeboyd played guit-ah-arrrrrr

Creating a bit of buzz around their Lovecraftian RPG Cthulhu Saves The World on Xbox, only to find that to be a cold and uncaring land, things were a lot rosier for the subsequent PC release. That in turn led to the opportunity to tackle a new game for the even-tempered and all-embracing fellows over on Penny Arcade, which in turn led to a sequel, and now they’re at the point where the announcement of their new game creates headlines. As well as having a most excellent title, Cosmic Star Heroine will include “turn-based RPG gameplay that takes the best elements from our past games while adding a few new ideas.”

Penny Arcade Adventures Returns In Hands Of Zeboyd

By John Walker on April 4th, 2012.

Not shown: someone saying a swear.

The Penny Arcade games were, perhaps, not all of the good in the world in one place. But there’s some rather splendid news afoot. What had clearly been abandoned is to return, but now in the hands of the rather brilliant Zeboyd Games. They who made the utterly fab Cthulhu Saves The World. They’ve been put in charge of the ever-hideously named Penny Arcade Adventures: On The Rain-Slick Precipice Of Darkness, episodes 3 and 4.

Zeboyd PC Sales Leave XBLIG In The Dust

By John Walker on July 20th, 2011.

If you knew how tired I am, you'd understand why I can't be bothered working out a cheerleader joke.

You may remember that last week we suggested Zeboyd’s launch of their RPGs on Steam had gone a lot better than expected. It turns out that was something of an under-estimation.

In less than a week on Steam, Zeboyd’s Cthulhu Saves The World (see our review here) and Breath Of Death VII have already made more than they did in over a year on Xbox Live Indie Games. Let me repeat that: More in under a week on PC than in over a year on Xbox.
