My favourite Strafe Left so far. Highlighting the year’s key events AND being unspeakably hilarious all at once. I would have liked for these to become an annual special.

I don’t get it

Beautiful – insightful etc. The minimap is the new 8 bit graphic…

Not Important says:
Maybe my brain is not big enough to comprehend this map. Can we get like a Map Key or something… I really dont find this funny at all… hmm, I’ll have to ponder this one for a bit.

I can’t see why it’s “hillarious” either; cool yes, but not hillarious.
30/12/2007 at 00:06
Ahh, wonderful satire. Not really getting why the Brits are green in that first one, though….
30/12/2007 at 00:07
Brilliantly lacking in any political correctness whatsoever :D

The green dots are the guards CannedLizard.

Inspired by me or pure coincidence? Either way, I always liked this one.

Always figured Tim Stone was a hippie :)

Topical, aye. Satirical, aye. But this one strikes me in my bleeding heart, wrecking for righteous indignation.
It’s too edgy to be funny imo – christ, I’m a Glaswegian, patron of Jocklands only tube system, and the tbought of being identified as a spaniard terrifies me to my core. Worst thing is, I live in Perth.
30/12/2007 at 03:36
Ooh, a bit of politics

Thomas Lawrence says:
Much more biting, dark, edgy and satirical than its predecessors. Not coincidentally, also the funniest yet, in that dark edgy satirical sort of a way.

Ian Kiigan says:
Fantastic stuff, extremely well done. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, RPS.
30/12/2007 at 22:06
I’m reminded of that guy who painted historical events from an game-like isometric perspective… and I can never remember who he is. Ah, no wait, I found it.

Del Boy says:
If ever a picture, and a few words, said a thousand words, this is it.
Enlightening and extremely depressing at the same time, thanks Tim!

This one, and the recent TF2 death message history of the 20th century, are two of the best Strafe Lefts. Easily.
31/12/2007 at 13:52
nice link Sum0, that guy’s work is excellent. Also, the Strafe Left TF2 20th Century History is the best one yet. Or maybe the MoH Airborne Bonus Drops, like that too.

Chris R says:
Where is this TF2 20th Century Strafe Left you speak up? I even googled and couldn’t find anything (it brought me back here to RPS, hah).
01/01/2008 at 18:30
It’s in the current issue of PCGUK
02/01/2008 at 12:27
That made my day tolerable, after being horribly bad all morning.

can someone please explain this?
how is it hilarious?

The Shed says:
Very good. This is the first one that was properly confusing until I re-read “Mini-map”. That’s what all the nonderstanders seem to be missing.
26/08/2008 at 13:40
*Chuckles* Best Strafe Left I’ve seen by far, I have to say. Had me in fits. Good job!
