E3 2011: EA Conference Liveblog

Look, I did it on my netbook, okay.
UPDATE: Finished! Ubisoft stuff at around 11:30UK time tonight, but I don’t think we’ll be liveblogging that bit. Tired now.

Right, so it looks like we have some sort of live blogging success. If you’d like to follow the events taking place at the EA conference – or at least the things I’m being distracted by – click below. If the page doesn’t load first time, hit refresh. That tends to get it working. And if you’re running Ad Block, turn it off you bastard.

  1. Wookie_Wookstar says:

    Hello? ;)

  2. Wookie_Wookstar says:

I see one post if thats any help!?

  3. Manac0r says:

    Is this working?

  4. skinlo says:

    Ok, this likely isn’t working?

  5. Pobblepop says:

Dish the dirt on all the shit games!

  6. slick_101 says:

I have the single post of “Okay, this isn’t likely working”

  7. vodka and cookies says:

Battlefield 3 trailer on Youtube, pretty amazing looking.

  8. Kaira- says:

Hey, I see text appearing even though I have the devilish Ad-Block. Sorry guys.

  9. Ricc says:

Lets see if you can piss off as many EA employees as Jeff Green did with his live blog of the conference in 2008… before starting to work at the place. :)

    • Kaira- says:

Hm, what happened back then? I don’t really often follow E3 news and stuff like that.

    • Ricc says:

It was a pretty funny live blog from a good writer with some goofy remarks. Those events should never be taken too seriously, so that’s why it stuck with me.

  10. frenz0rz says:

Wait, how the hell do you post liveblog comments?

  11. Beastbaron says:

Did I miss anything in the Microsoft presentation?
Was revising which I have now obviously given up on, getting some weird looks in the library atm…

  12. ConcreteOtter says:

Maybe John’s problems are an EA tech demo of some new ubisoft inspired DRM?

  13. Some_Guy says:

    link to youtube.com BF3 E3 Trailer

  14. Gnoupi says:

The beauty of concentrating lot of people in a small space, all of them trying to access to wireless Internet at the same time. Wifi doesn’t handle traffic that well.

  15. MrTambourineMan says:

Today is 67th anniversary of D-Day, wooo hooo !

    • Kaira- says:

      Also, international day of Slayer.

      Yup, it’s a good day.

    • Torgen says:

I’m playing the entire radio broadcast day of D-Day right now, as it was aired over CBS in New York. Started at 2:45am Eastern this morning to synch it to the correct time of day. I’ll re-air it starting 9am Eastern tomorrow morning, so folks with normal schedules can hear the neat pre-dawn first reports/rumors. Google “rat patrol radio.”

(hopes Horace doesn’t smite me for self-promotion)

  16. Cheese says:

Are we going to get a condensed version of all the events of E3? I’m having trouble keeping track of what’s been announced.

  17. Ginger Yellow says:

This Need for Speed on foot nonsense is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen.

  18. Ginger Yellow says:

    Need For Speed: Heavy Rain

  19. DarkNoghri says:

If anyone’s interested, we’re live-commenting this in the RPS steam chat.

  20. Ginger Yellow says:

“Americans! Soccer is for you too!”

  21. Teddy Leach says:

What… What is EA doing. Twitter is currently better than E3.

  22. Hatsworth says:

“JR mocks other publishers by saying they don’t get “random celebrities” up on the stage.”

    So about that..

    • somini says:

American football players are not celebrities, at least to me…

  23. somini says:

Inceptions music totally WASTED in Madden!! Screw you, Peter Moore.
    Foot-to-Ball FTW, not Foot&Hand-to-MelonShapedPieceOfLeather

  24. Ginger Yellow says:

I take it back. The Sims Social is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. Will probably make billions though.

  25. Spider Jerusalem says:

If you can’t find him, build him!

  26. somini says:

Hey, it’s that black balls of goo that grow from The Incredibles. Interesting…

  27. Ginger Yellow says:

So, TOR pretty obviously is not coming out any time soon. If it doesn’t succeed, EA are basically finished, and all they showed was a CGI trailer. Weird.

  28. Maykael says:

Out of all celebrities that like foot-to-ball, WHY was Lil Wayne the one they got? Really? Don’t they know that nobody likes Lil Wayne. He’s the Rebecca Black of hip-hop.
