Cardboard Children: At The Wrestling

Hello youse.

I’m just popping in to tell you all that while there is no column this week (because this weekend has been all about preparing for a wrestling show I’m involved in tonight) I’ll be back next week with a look at Spartacus and the new King of Tokyo expansion.

In the meantime, take a look at the recently released rules for a new edition of Merchant of Venus. It’s a classic game. I want you to be as excited as I am.

Stay dicey! (Still hate this sign-off.)

    Three cheers for Rab.

    Hip hip…

  2. BennyGee says:

I’m pleased they’ve included the original rules and board in this, updating a classic will always divide opinion over which is the superior version.

  3. Persus-9 says:

The Guardian have a little piece up about the wrestling thing. Basically just a collection of comments from Rab and Greg Hemphill (who I’m not familiar with). Pretty interesting points made.

    • Lambchops says:

Hemphill’s another Scottish comedian most famous for Chewin’ the Fat (a great Scottish sketch show) and Still Game (an mostly entertain sitcom and one of those rare beasts of a spin out show that becomes a big success). Both well worth watching.

I dunno, that Merchants of Venus has just locked a tractor beam on my wallet.

    • Prime says:

Hah! Too true. I’m losing a fortune to this column.

    KBO, Mr Florence

I’m interested in the wrestling mentioned in this post.

    Any info?

Dear Admins. Any chance you could make all links of this type to point to Dark Souls instead?
