RPS Asks: Who’s Your Gaming Love?

Happy Valentine’s Day, readers. We luurrrrrrve you. Kissy kissy slurp.

On this loviest of days, we want to know which gaming characters you truly love. Not fancy. Bleaurgh – we’re not CVG. Love. Whether it’s eros, philos, storgy or agape, whom do you find yourself caring about in the gaming world? Which characters do you worry about like you might your brother or sister? Is there a hero you’d make sacrifices for? Is there a game kid you find yourself wanting to parent? Or is there a fictional someone you’d swoop up into your arms, stare deeply and lovingly into his or her eyes, and carry into the sunset? Let us know your game loves below.

  1. Tunips says:

Vivec, the magic hermaphrodite, the martial axiom, the sex-death of language and unique in all the middle world.
Vivec loves me, the Nerevarine, and I love him wholly, and behind him, his water-face, Michael Kirkbride.

Love is under my will only.
    Beware the crime of benevolence.

  2. DalamarNL says:

Aribeth de Tylmarande (NWN1) without a doubt.

  3. Bigmouth Strikes Again says:

Therese(Jeanette) Voerman, the beautiful parricidal schizophrenic. Driven to insanity by her(their) child molesting father (and Malkavian blood, for those in the know). Ménage à trois without the added effort: bonus.

  4. mr.black says:

Mercedes “Meche” Colomar – no love like love for the bone!
    Jade from Beyond G&E
Fem-Revan I made once. Cause it was the first roleplay of me as a girl, but she/I was also a looker..

  5. TuranicRaider says:

a bit late by the looks, but i can’t resist. I’d stand shoulder to shoulder in a gunfight with Tommy Angelo. I’d follow Jim Raynor to Char no questions asked. I’d fly a ship under the command of Karan Sjet and fleet command to protect my mothership from overwhelming enemies. And I would swim through a sea of zerglings and ultralisks to save Sarah Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades. And also, I would arm wrestle a reaper for female shepard and liara. and the cute girl next to the map in mass effect 2.

and it doesn’t feel right that i don’t say anything for dostya, I did like that girl… damn i actually wasted hours to save her, and even if my strategically placed units destroy the enemies converging on her within two seconds, she still dies… man that sucks.

Kerrigan though, man, she is, damn, I don’t even care about her hair. It’s just that.. I don’t want to get into a fistfight with her would be boyfriend. I’d rather take on liam neeson.
