Survarium Beta Keys: Try The Stalker-ish Multiplayer Shooter

Update: And they’re all gone.

Back in March, Jim reckoned that the beta of Survarium was a strong start for the free-to-play multiplayer shooter. But what does he know? You want to try the game for yourself, to see how far its Stalker influences go and whether its a rusting wasteland worth dying within.

Now 1000 of you can, using the first-come, first-served beta keys below.

The keys are, as always, distributed through Godankey. They’re an external service but won’t use your email address for anything other than sending you the key.

If you receive a key, then you need to redeem it in order to start playing. Sign up at the Survarium website, click on “My Profile” and then “Promo-codes” on the left. Enter the code in the text field that appears. You should soon after receive an email from Vostok Games containing instructions on how to download and start playing the closed beta.

That is all.

It’s telling me I’ve already participated. Pretty sure I haven’t.

    • frightlever says:

I get that because of the Firewall at work. By plugging a laptop straight into the BT router I was able to get a key. That’s probably not a lot of use to you unless, you’re here at work with me. Mary from Accounts, is that you?

      • bcrowe says:

Erm, no, not Mary from Accounts. Thanks for the info though. I can’t fiddle with routers here, maybe I’ll have better luck at home.

  2. jpm224 says:

Well this is embarrassing….I can’t seem to figure out where to actually download the game.

    • jpm224 says:

      nevermind! silly me

      • Rincewind says:

I must be an idiot, then, because for the life of me I can’t figure out where to download it!

        • frightlever says:

Register an account, enter the promo code on your profile and you’ll get an email with a link – I haven’t actually followed the link yet cos I’m at work but it should go to the installer.

Thanks RPS I am down for this game like a dang dog pound

  4. Orija says:

“you will receive an email in the next hours if you have been given a key ”
So, I’ll have to wait for a confirmation that may or may not come?

  5. svge says:

It’s a 1.4 GB DL if you get in btw.

  6. CobraLad says:

Played several games in russian/cis obt.
Dont know what to think about it, largely because it gives you two clunky starter guns straight from WW2. Its highly impossible to hit any moving target and you should rely on camping/ambushing unsuspecting opponent.
Also this game needs alienware titan tower, because my framerate on minimum is comparable to your average AAA title on max.
Aside from that, its World of tanks, but with dudes in turtlenecks. Not worth it before they add co-op content.

    • Jalan says:

Mainly what I was curious about. If it’s just a PvP team sport type of game at the current stage then I don’t care to play it, even if it does have eye candy desolation maps to drool over.

    • Deadly Sinner says:

I don’t get what they’re trying to do with it. I never followed the game’s production, but I was expecting a Stalkery open world survival sim type game, which made me super excited to get into the beta. But what we get is a generic deathmatch game with a ton of lag (yeah, I know servers are in Russia.)

  7. NecroKnight says:

I’m not sure this is just beta access. It says on my profile that this is alpha test access.

  8. hamburger_cheesedoodle says:

Those thousand codes sure went fast. :[

  10. MiddleIndex says:

  11. Monkeh says:

    But I…. :(

  12. tanstaafl says:

Yay! I managed to get it. Thanks all, can’t wait to look at this.
