Please Enjoy 8 Minutes of Alec Being Terrible At Point Perfect

Deeply imperfect

Point Pefect is a mouse-only, high precision action/reflex game which was released just this week. I thought I'd have a go at it, I thought I'd be pretty bad at it because I'm pretty bad at anything high precision, and I thought I'd film it too. Here you go!

Here's the thing: the first thing I do for any game I look at for the site is to play a few minutes of it without having much of a clue what I'm doing. This part of the whole thing rarely gets covered, because we write up thoughts once we've grasped the game in question. That means we can sound like EXPERTS. I thought you might like to see what it's like before then. I thought, in other words, you might like to see my ignorance. Deliberately, for once.

It's a neat little game - a very simple concept for a specific controller, and a pure test of skill. I could sense myself improving rapidly as I played, though at least part of that is down to slowly learning and understanding enemy behaviours.

Point Perfect is out now, and it's pretty cheap.
