COGWATCH – 2. Chariot

Hey! It’s a new weekly video series from Quinns talking about one mechanic in one game. Part one was on rhythm in Crypt of the Necrodancer. Part two is about co-op in Chariot [official site], a platformer in which you and a friend use ropes to push, pull, catch and carry an object through the game world.

Here’s a high-res version of the header image in case you need a new desktop wallpaper.

Yeah, this series in particular is superb. Approachable explanations of game mechanics done with humour.

Looks at the last few article authors… Quinns, Brendan, Pip…
Is this the beginnings of the ubersite: Rock Up And Sit Shotgun?

Also, excellent video as always from Mr. Smith!

    Love these!

Also, Quinns makes me feel kinda funny. Like when we used to climb the ropes in gym class.

Reminds me a lot of Little Big Planet co-op. Surprised that wasn’t mentioned. That also has you spending a lot of time catching each other with ropes in a lovely physical way (actually, maybe it’s LBP2? They blur a bit).

    This looks really cool.
I’m going to be watching all these videos very late because I mostly read RPS at work and i have no sound at work, so I only get a chance to catch up on these at home in a rare quiet moment.
