Pimp My Ride: Euro Truck Simulator’s Cabin Accessories

I’m always fascinated how people customise things, from pencil cases to player characters – and trucks, of course. Euro Truck Simulator 2 [official site] lets folks fancy up their rigs with fancy paint jobs, but now with new DLC opens a wonderful new space to blow cash on trinkets to make you happy, adding cabin accessories.

Nodding dogs, pennants, hula dancers, laptops, handbags, ice boxes, and fluffy dice are among the treasures truckers can now fill their cabins with, and yeah, I am keen to see the scenes people create. Have a look at all this junk:

It’s a fine opportunity to tell your own little stories, yeah? A little environmental storytelling. Will you live the high life with expensive sunglasses, pocket telephones, laptops, and handmade leather wallets? Simply go practical with a compass and sandwich? Or perhaps cover everything in tassled trim and nodding dogs? If you’ve bought this DLC and set up your cab, do share a snap with the rest of us, won’t you?

The DLC is £2.51 on Steam at the moment.

A new update also launched alongside the DLC last night, bringing changes including improved sounds and bug fixes.

  1. LionsPhil says:

It needs to hook up the physics so those unsecured shades slide off the dash and under your feet on the first corner.

    • Stellar Duck says:

Not just under the feet, but under one of the pedals, for maximum annoyance and danger.

      • LionsPhil says:

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking.

Also that laptop is going to go flying if you have to stop suddenly. Having it up and open alongside you while driving along is probably going to attract TRUCK POLICE and put you in a terrible situation if you do crash, AIUI.

  2. TobleroneRoloCombo says:

Really need to get back to playing this game.

  3. Beanbee says:

Call it what it is. This is undeniably cajazzaling.

  4. Zanchito says:

I can’t belive I just bought horse armour for my truck

  5. geisler says:

This has existed for years (for free) with mods. Nice that it’s possible in the base game now as well though. Depending on how much content there is, the price isn’t to hefty either.

  6. DrollRemark says:

Empty coke cans and cold, forgotten fragments of Ginsters pasties.

  7. renner says:

Man I want that little nodding dog for my Cobra Mk. III.

    • Stellar Duck says:

Didn’t they remove the dolls and put them back in as pay ware micro transactions?

  8. Phasma Felis says:

I want to know if you can use the simulated laptop in your simulated truck to play Euro Truck Simulator.

    • Phasma Felis says:

Also, I want to know how soon this content can be patched into Spintires.

  9. median says:

I just started playing Elite: Dangerous, and damn if my ship doesn’t need a pair of fuzzy dice.

  10. racccoon says:

I like the ideas, but I think these sims need life as we need to able to step out of the truck go to a bar, crash in the back cab, wake up in the morning grab a coffee from the cafe next door & stand in queue to get a job, That would make it a little more interesting.
I do like the game though. :)
