Maybe you’re a veteran of the RPS Social Club or maybe you’re preparing to travel to Rezzed hoping to meet some fellow RPS readers for the first time. Either way, if you’re going to be at the show, you’ll be able to meet friends old and new, and some RPS writers as well, at the RPS Mixer in Association With Robocraft. As the name suggests, the event is sponsored by Freejam, creators of Robocraft, and we’ll be gathering from around 7PM on Friday at The Captain Kidd pub, a short walk from the Rezzed venue.
If you’re at the show, do come along – arrive before I’ve managed to drink the place dry, and you’ll be able to get a drink on us. There’ll be plenty of merry-making and/or in-depth conversations about why Far Cry 2 is definitely the best in the series. You can even ask us why Dark Souls is the best RPG of all time. That’s what we’re here for.
We’ll also be there to drink and meet friends new and old though, so do drop in and say hello. If you weren’t reading what we write, we’d be shouting into the void and that’s never a good look. Not now we’ve (mostly) grown out of our teenage goth years at any rate. So…THANKS!
If you can’t make it to the Mixer or would rather meet us in a non-pub environment, RPS writers will be spending as much time as possible in between panels and play sessions on Friday and Saturday in our own area at the show. You can find details of that, and the games we’ve picked to be a part of our room, over here.
At least one member of RPS – me, Adam, the haunter of bars – will be heading to the pub before 7pm so do join me there for a drink or two before the event starts once you’ve left the show for the day. At the Mixer itself, complimentary drinks will be provided by Freejam.
Hope to see you there!
