Giveaway: 10,000 LawBreakers Alpha Keys

LawBreakers is a multiplayer first-person shooter by Boss Key, the post-Epic studio founded by Cliff Bleszinski. It puts you on one side of a zero-gravity grapple-and-gunfight and Rob was surprised by it when he played it earlier this year. We’re giving away 10,000 keys for this weekend’s alpha test of the game.

Here’s a trailer if you want to see the game in action. It focuses on the Enforcer class, but gives a good impression of its swing-y, airborne combat:

That widget below will dispense your key in exchange for three actions: looking at our Facebook page for a moment, following us on Twitter, or following us on YouTube. We like it when you follow us places, basically.

RPS Giveaway: 100,000 LawBreakers alpha keys

The keys are limited to one per user and the widget above will close automatically when all the codes are gone. The test runs this weekend from Saturday August 6th (5pm BST) to Monday August 7 (1am BST).

How to redeem your code

1. You’ll need a free Steam account, if you don’t have one already. Signup and download the client at
2. Within the client, click ‘Games’ at the top and then ‘Activate a Product on Steam…’.
3. Enter your Steam key when prompted. It will then be added to your account and you can decide to install it immediately by choosing a location. Enjoy!

I also failed the reading comprehension test, so if anyone wants my key:

      • IronBrit says:

        Claimed, Thank you kindly.

      • IronBrit says:

Got to enjoy how I even had the manners to post that I’d claimed the code..and not only did someone try to use the same CD key almost 24 hours later..they also clicked the ‘forgotten account name associated with this key’ type of button, i assume in some strange hope of getting account access.

  2. Agnosticus says:

I’m throughing in some keys too, have fun!

  3. TheFlameBeneath says:

Another key I won’t use here:

    Have fun!

  4. Plastic Legs says:

Saturday the 6th through to Monday the 7th? Is this Sunday the 0th?

    • Agnosticus says:

The answer is ‘the 6.5th’ obviously, get your maths straight! ;)

For some reason I had trouble redeeming the code but after 3 attempts it was successful. If you are having trouble, just wait up a bit…

To be honest I didn’t expect to get code for this alpha, so this is pleasant surprise. Nice one RPS.

  7. Czrly says:

Grabbed a code. I see, now, that it only activates on Saturday evening – I hope I haven’t completely forgotten about it, by then… which will almost certainly be the case.

I’m glad I get to try this in Alpha because I’ll probably never play it after release. Online multiplayer communities tend to deteriorate so quickly after that gate is opened.

A very large part of me wishes we still played LANs – this game would be perfect for 8-12 players in a room, a crate or two of cold beers and a stack of pizzas… and crass jokes… and a tangle of wires, a switch with only 5 working ports and nobody with a clue of how “networks” “net” or “work”

The thing that stumps me is that LANs would be so easy, today. We’ve got proper gaming laptops and nobody has seen a 21-inch CRT for aeons. Perhaps it is because we’re all living in tiny apartments and don’t have the space.

  8. jplayer01 says:

Meh, all gone. Fuck shit like this.

    • mukuste says:

Nope, actually I just got one key out of it.

    • QSpec says:

Have you signed up via the Law Breakers website?

    • Hensler says:

Yeah, I got a key after you posted this.

    • karhedron says:

Clicked the visit-RPS-on-Facebook button, got a code instantly just now, so… can’t imagine why you’d be having problems.

      Here’s some more shit: RPTNJ-QGGQA-XVT59

      • Press X to Gary Busey says:

Disclaimer: That was Marine Sharpshooter II: Jungle Warfare. Enjoy, whoever claimed it.

        Here’s another shart: 0LDDH-MAQX8-W6784

Hint: It was in Early Access (Valve’s Great Trading Card Hustle) in 2015 but is now removed from the store (RARE COLLECTIBLES!) “until it’s complete and bug-free”. It was even covered by Jim Sterling once in an Early Access Squirt video (<b)FAMOUS AND WELL KNOWN FRANCHISE!).

        • Press X to Gary Busey says:

It was Blood of Old. Exactly like Dark Souls and Oblivion plus more early access and more apples on top of barrels.

    • sweetjer says:

      I just claimed one

  9. Kitsunin says:

Wait, uh, Saturday August 6th until Monday August…7th? Presumably it’s Monday the 8th, and the beta lasts longer than 9 hours?

  10. manveruppd says:

I also claimed a key before realising I wouldn’t be able to play during the beta. If anyone wants it it’s G3RNL-MEIPR-6L0GV
Be nice and reply to this if you claim it so others don’t keep trying it after it’s been redeemed.

  11. Buuurr says:

An clone… Just stick to the cream of this crop and go with Overwatch. All others are just pale… this is so pale. I know it is alpha and all that comes with it but this formula adds nothing to the genre. I would rather play Paladins and that is a stretch for me to say. The gameplay is the usual run down a hall and be countered by your counter class gameplay. If you are the counter you don’t die. If you aren’t you do. No skill required.

Truthfully I cannot believe people rag on COD for being no skill when games like this have a following.

  12. Herzog says:

Just played for half an hour and deleted at once. Also first time with a hero shooter. I do not understand the appeal behind it.

Bring on Diabotical! Arena FPS all the way!
