Best PC gaming deals of the week

Welcome to Friday. A Friday of no particular note, of course. Just a lovely Friday – end of the standard workweek, a couple of days off coming up and some video game deals to enjoy. Speaking of those video game deals, there’s a few of them to check out this week but it’s a lighter one, almost as if video game companies were steering clear of this week for promotions, for some reason. How odd.

As usual, we’ve got deals that’ll work in the UK, deals that’ll work in the US and some deals that will work in both the UK and US, as well as presumably many other places. Let’s get started.

The Jelly Deals Newsletter

At Jelly Deals, we post deals every single day, as and when they show up on the internet. Along with the main site, we have Twitter and Facebook accounts to help you stay up to date. If, however, you’d prefer us to just bring the deals directly to you, we can do that now, too since we’ve just launched the Jelly Deals Daily Deals Newsletter this week.

If you’d like, you can sign up and we’ll email you once a day (and never more) through the week to let you know each day’s best deals. We don’t do anything silly with your email address or pass your details onto anyone else (ever), by the way, just the once-a-day deals thing. If you don’t fancy it, that’s okay too.

UK & US Deals

Did any of you see that latest Alien Covenant trailer? Is there any chance that movie could actually be good? I’ve been burned before, I’m not sure I can deal with another heartbreak. The last Alien related thing that didn’t disappoint me was Alien Isolation, which coincidentally enough is down to a crazy low price over at Bundle Stars right now – £6.29 / $8.99 for the game along with every last bit of its DLC.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is the PC version that almost never was. Many years after the game’s initial console release, it finally made its way to Steam to a rather lovely bunch of praises. If you’d like to give this one a try, it’s currently cheaper than ever before, down to £9.12 / $11.40.

If, somewhere deep inside your heart, you’ve always yearned for the kind of adventure that can only be had by Captaining a ship into uncharted waters, feeling your sanity crumble day by day and eventually resorting to eating your crewmates, dream no more! Sunless Sea can let you live out those very adventures and now it’s down to £5.11 / $6.26 for a limited time, which is also quite nice.

This weekend, Steam is offering up a whole bunch of discounts on the entire Far Cry franchise. You can get the whole lot in a bundle for £39.16 / $48.39 or pick them up individually for discounted prices. Far Cry 3 and 4 still remain some of my favourite open-world explorathon type games. Also, hey, remember Far Cry Primal was a thing?

If top-down clicky RPGs are your kind of thing, the odds are good that you played a whole lot of Baldur’s Gate or Baldur’s Gate II back when they were released. If you’d like to rake through those old memories or experience these games for the first time, you can grab the Complete Saga collection from Bundle Stars for a reduced price right now, where you’ll get the enhanced editions of both games for £12.14 / $16.19.

US Deals

You’ve heard it more than a few times before, but hey, last year’s Doom reboot was a bit fantastic, wasn’t it? At least, it was in my opinion. If you never got around to this one, you can grab a Steam key from GameStop US right now for only $19.79, for a limited time. Hell of a deal.

With that, we’re done for another week. Keep in mind that deals, prices and availability can change at the drop of a hat, so apologies if you miss out on something you wanted. I’ll be over at Jelly Deals, scouring the world wide web for more deals. Feel free to visit, or follow us on Twitter and give us a like on Facebook.

There’s also an RPG sale on GOG with the Avernums & Avadons, the Wasteland 2s & Shadowruns, and the Icewindy Baldurs Gates and Dales.

What’s this JellyDeals business? Is that a partnership with RPS? I’ve never noticed this being mentioned in the deals of the week posts before.

That seems to be where Jamie’s from, and they’ve been mentioning it pretty much since they started this series of articles.

This may be the first time it was mentioned at the start though.

    • Jalan says:

It’s been that way since last year when Jamie started writing these articles.

It’s not really a great deal different than when Lewie or Cassandra took over in the past.

    • JB says:

Pretty sure Jamie’s mentioned it at least once, every time he’s posted the deals

@Jalan, apparently it could have been worse, you could have been me!

    • leeder krenon says:

I’m surprised no-ones posted this yet, but it’s referenced every time in these articles.

Baldur’s Gate you say? Not heard of that before. Is it any good? Do you think my hamster would like it?

Doom for $20? Hmmm…. no. I’ve waited this long, I can wait for $10.
