Bam! Pof! Zonk! Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 released

A further good day and SNIKT to you, one and all. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 [official site] has finally arrived on PC, five years after its initial launch. It’s a fighting game throwing Capcom characters from Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and beyond into a big hat with a load of Marvel Comics folks, then shaking the hat until they all get riled and scrap. This here Ultimate edition is the updated version which tweaked a little and added a dozen extra characters, so yes you can see who’d win in a fight between Frank West and Rocket Raccoon.

MvC3, I’ll explain for folks who’ve mostly missed, is a fighting game where each player picks a team of three characters for each battle. Aside from a few team-up attacks, you can only have one active at a time, and you only lose when they’re all knocked out. The name might suggest franchise rivalry but nah, Marveleers and Capcommers can fight on the same team.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is out on Steam for £19.99/24,99€/$24.99.

Now that MvC3 is finally here, hey, remember that the new Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is coming later this year. Here’s a peek at that, from back in December:

  1. Xzi says:

Reasonable pricing for a good (but old) game? Who are you and what have you done with Capcom?

  2. Danda says:

I don’t like fighting games, but I’m going to buy it just to support better-late-than-never PC releases for good console games. I was VERY happy to play Dead Rising 1 at last.

Capcom, please re-release all your GFWL-era games with Steamworks, please. I skipped the Lost Planet series just for that reason.
