Warriors All-Stars crossovers with Dead Or Alive, Ninja Gaiden, and more

Having previously predicted that Omega Force’s Warriors games are on a path to create hack ‘n’ slash adaptations of all fictional and historical stories, I feel vindicated to see that they’re now rolling a load of video games into one Warriors game. Publishers Koei Tecmo today announced a PC release for Warriors All-Stars [official site], a game throwing together characters from Warriors games along with Dead Or Alivers, Ninjas Gaiden, and other Tecmo stars. I’m telling you, 20 years from now Omega Force will release a game based on the English Parliament. Put money on it.

Koei Tecmo explain Warriors All-Stars’ highly important story:

“Warriors All-Stars begins in a mysterious land brought to the brink of destruction when a magical spring, the source of its power, dries up after its king’s passing. Following a legend that calls for the summoning of champions from other realms in times of dire need, the young princess Tamaki performs a ritual that goes horribly wrong when her powers spiral out of control, scattering the heroes across the domain. Emboldened to restore peace to the world, Tamaki must recruit the best and strongest among these visitors to revitalize the spring – and crown the land’s savior as its new ruler.”

Which is to say that people will beat up huge hordes of enemies in the usual Warriors hack ‘n’ slash way. The character list includes folks from Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors, along with other Koei Tecmo games like Ninja Gaiden, Dead Or Alive, Toukiden, Nights of Azure, Atelier Sophie, Nioh, and Samurai Cats – which I’ve just learned is a Nobunaga’s Ambition spin-off turning historical figures into cats. Amazing. Sadly, it has no one from Dynasty Warriors: Gundam or Hyrule Warriors.

Warriors All-Stars is coming to Steam on August 29th, the same days as its western console versions. The Japanese console debut came in March 2017. Here’s our announcement trailer:

    “Ninjas Gaiden” huh?

I’d rather have actual Nioh for PC instead of a cameo, but sure?

“Here’s our announcement trailer” Our? Did you work on the game or did you mean *their* announcement trailer? If you did, then you must put a humorously worded (preferably with a short anecdote) disclaimer at the bottom of the article.
