The Prise de Tahure map will be set exactly 100 years ago in the autumn following the 1917 Nivelle Offensive, where allied forces tried and failed to push the Germans back in central France.
You’ll snipe, fly, and – if you’re Brendan – house hunt your way around the region. The focus is on trench warfare, which could mean a slower pace than some existing maps.
Here’s what DICE had to say:
“The frontline trench networks cut right through several villages facing obliteration from the constant skirmishing between German stormtroopers and French raiders. This is a war of attrition. Adaptability and tactics are the means to wear your adversary down.”
There’s no concrete date for the map’s release, but DICE say it will be available “shortly” on the (PC-only) Community Test Environment, which you can sign up to here.
DICE also announced that the upcoming introduction of the Russian army, in DLC called In the Name of the Tsar, will be revealed on June 10, ahead of a full release later in the summer.9
