    A: It isn’t. There have been plenty of well known tunes that have involved icecreams. In 1939, Judy Garland sang the well known tune “Somewhere over the Ben and Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough” which became one of the standards of the 20th century.

    In the 1960’s the Beatles sang “I am the Walls’ Viennetta””.

    So I really don’t get this idea that it would be strange singing about ice-cream. I mean even the latterday hip-hop/rapper types have done songs about icecream. Even old Kanye West has a track on his seminal “Late Registration” album called, “Touch The Tutti-Frutti”. I think some people are just a bit ice-creamist, nowadays …
