Rainbow Six Siege Fuze: what he can do and how to use him

Featured post Fuze

Another rather explosive character in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is Fuze. This attacker operator from the Spetsnaz division has a wide array of weapons to choose from as well as cluster charges to surprise unsuspecting enemies that have hunkered down defensively. It is however very easy to mess up playing this operator, so this guide will talk you through his arsenal and what you absolutely must not do.

Fuze operator guide

Unlike other attacking operators that handle explosives, Fuze can be somewhat hit or miss. His cluster charges are a bit chaotic, making him one of the more difficult to use effectively. Should the explosives not do the trick though, his weapon selection makes up for it somewhat. If you’d like to get back into the game after a long hiatus, have a gander at our Rainbow Six Siege guide, which has tips on navigation and being an asset to your team.

Speed: 1

Fuze’s Weapon Loadouts

Fuze has access to three primary weapons. The first is a ballistic shield, which can deflect fire away from your team, but is nowhere near as effective as Montagne’s extendable variation. His other two weapons are the 6P41 light machine gun that has a massive amount of capacity at the cost of reload times being long, as well as the AK-12 assault rifle which has a better fire rate and only slightly less damage. His sidearms are the same as Glaz: the GSH-18 handgun and the PMM handgun. For Fuze, either is a decent choice.

Fuze’s Gadgets

Really you should be picking the breach charge over the smoke grenade with Fuze, as it allows for a huge amount of explosions to disorientate the enemy. While smoke grenades could be useful in certain circumstances, the breach charge was always meant to be taken into the match with Fuze.

Fuze’s Skill

Fuze has the APM-6 “Matryoshka” – cluster charges that are released opposite to the surface it is attached to. This means that if the enemy has barricaded the objective, you can plant this on one end and cause chaos with the flip of a switch as the cluster bombs are randomly scattered inside. However if you are extracting a hostage, do not use his ability to storm the room as you will most likely kill the hostage, losing the round.

Should I pick Fuze?

Making an entrance is Fuze’s maison d’etre, as he can make all the explosions happen. His guns are also very capable of dealing decent damage as well, so he can definitely contribute to the team with more than just barging in with his array of explosive devices.

When used well, Fuze can be utterly devastating, but maybe your explosives aren’t having the desired effect because of a pesky defending player?
