Rainbow Six Siege Pulse: what he can do and how to use him

Heartbreaker

Featured post Pulse

Pulse is a reconnaissance operator for the defensive team in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. His ability to detect heartbeats of enemies can provide some much needed information for allies who are about to get ambushed. Our guide will show you his weapons and gadgets, as well as detail everything you need to know about his cardiac sensor.

Pulse operator guide

With Pulse’s ability, it’s vital that newer players talk to their team as soon as they spot enemy activity. They can go to our Rainbow Six Siege guide for more information about how to defend the point effectively, but the key thing is that Pulse is an operator that requires you to be a team player.

Pulse’s Stats

Armour: 1
Speed: 3

Pulse’s Weapon Loadouts

Pulse’s guns are the same as Castle’s. Primary weapons are the M1014 semi-automatic shotgun and the UMP45 submachine gun. With Pulse, the fact he’s faster leans towards the shotgun as more aggressive players can take advantage of his abilities, but those who prefer longer ranged combat can effectively use the submachine gun. His sidearms are the same as Castle’s: The 5.7 USG and the M45 Meusoc respectively, and for Pulse the choice depends on the primary weapon used.

Pulse’s Gadgets

As for the gadgets that Pulse can use, he has the Nitro Cell and the barbed wire. Since he’s a C4 user, this should be the priority item of choice as it has a lot more of an explosive impact.

Pulse’s Skill

Pulse’s HB-5 Cardiac Sensor is a small tablet that shows pulsating red circles. Depending on how big they are, the closer the enemy is, making him a much needed asset in order to come up with responses on the fly.

Should I pick Pulse?

Pulse has a big amount of tactical variety. He can either roam around with either one of his guns, or play a more defensive role by scanning around for heartbeats. It’s not the safest of abilities given the time it takes to put the scanner away and re-equip your guns, but the information it provides is vital for more defensive plays. He’s a good choice for those who wish to be a team player, but lone wolves won’t be able to relay information to their team.

While Pulse is one of the few operatives that can detect enemies, there are a couple of others that have other unique ways of locating the enemy. Head to our main Rainbow Six Siege operator guide has links to each individual operator, as well as an overview on the more universally useful ones and which ones beginners should consider learning.
