Season 7 Week 2 Free challenge: Search a chest in different named locations
The first challenge of week 2 requires you to search a chest in five of the 21 different locations on the map. These are all the named ones and you should keep a list of the chests you’ve searched, so you don’t search the same place twice. Given that there are 21 of them though, this shouldn’t be too tricky to track.
- Junk Junction
- Haunted Hills
- Pleasant Park
- Snobby Shores
- Tilted Towers
- Shifty Shafts
- Dusty Divot
- Salty Springs
- Fatal Fields
- Wailing Woods
- Lonely Lodge
- Retail Row
- Lucky Landing
- Risky Reels
- Lazy Links
- Paradise Palms
- Tomato Temple
- Loot Lake
- Polar Peak
- Frosty Flights
- Happy Hamlet
Season 7 Week 2 Free challenge: Damage opponents with different types of weapons
Put simply, just inflict any damage with each of the following weapon types. It doesn’t have to be more than a mere graze, just as long as you damage your opponents with it. Yes, friendly fire does not count towards this challenge and it must be done in competitive games.
- Assault Rifles
Season 7 Week 2 Free challenge: Eliminate opponents in Snobby Shores or Fatal Fields
Just kill three players in either of these two locations. Since there are two choices that count, you can chose your own preferred location and deal with enemies there. Snobby Shores is the more open of the two and can give you intel on where opponents may be, while Fatal Fields is better for close combat thanks to the small buildings. This can be done over the course of multiple matches.
Season 7 Week 2 Battle Pass challenge: playing pianos
This multi-stage challenge requires you to play the piano keys to a specific tune in Pleasant Park and Lonely Lodge. This needs to be done in that specific order too, so you’ll need to go to Pleasant Park first, then Lonely Lodge. The first keyboard is west of Pleasant Park, on the mountain nearby, so try and land on that location. The second keyboard is south of Lonely Lodge, north of the abandomed mansion, and is somewhat near the cliff-edge.
- The tune for Pleasant Park is E, G, C, D, E and all the keys are low (Square).
- The tune for Lonely Lodge is C, C, C, F, F, F, E, F, G, A, A#, G, A and all the keys are high (Circled).
Season 7 Week 2 Battle Pass challenge: Compete in a dance off at an abandoned mansion
This challenge requires more than one player to complete, but it doesn’t have to be a teammate. The mansion you seek is just north-east of the race track in the desert biome. You’ll need to head down the basement that’s overlooking the water nearby to find the entrance required. Once you’ve arrived, you’ll see a structure where you and anyone else there can stand on the opposite sides and participate in a contest. Just stand on the glowing stiles to score points, with the player that has the most stepped on being declared the winner. You’ll need to survive until the end of the dance off however, so make sure someone is keeping guard.
Season 7 Week 2 Battle Pass challenge: Stage challenge – visiting locations
This multi-stage challenge requires you to travel from one location to another. The starting point can be either of the two and while most players will take the direct route to the second location, you may find it easier to take the scenic route between the two to reduce the chance of your journey coming to an untimely end. You can be in a plane if you so wish to complete this challenge. The locations are as follows:
- Stage 1: Snobby Shores and Pleasant Park
- Stage 2: Dusty Divot and Lonely Lodge
- Stage 3: Frosty Flights and Tomato Temple
Season 7 Week 2 Battle Pass challenge: Eliminate an opponent from at least 50m away
The final challenge of week 2 requires you to eliminate an opponent that is at the very least 50 metres away. 50 metres in Fortnite is roughly around ten building segments (with each segment being 5 metres), so you’d expect certain weapons to be better than others. Assault Rifles, sniper rifles, and the like are your best bets. You may have better luck with this one in a game type where you can respawn and get the jump on other players.
