Best PC gaming deals of the week - 25th October 2019

Cheap games, games, games and more games

Featured post

It’s all about the spoooOOooOooOOooky gaming deals this week, you deals fiends, because this is the last weekend before we commence that most respected and hallowed of evening festivities where we stuff ourselves silly with sweets until our tummies burst in a spectacle of horror and gore. At least I think that’s what Halloween is about, anyway. Your deals herald is too much of a sweet-hoarding curmudgeon to actually go about sharing her precious sugar haul. That would be madness! Instead, I come bearing the very best PC gaming deals. There are plenty to choose from in this week’s digital jack-o-lantern, including deals for The Outer Worlds, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Control. Enjoy!

Game deals

Fanatical‘s Scream Sale is currently in full swing, and because it ’tis the season, you can get an additional 6.66% off (of course) when you apply the code SCREAM666 at checkout. Highlights include 11% off The Outer Worlds, a tasty 75% off Battle Chasers: Nightwar, 70% off Dying Light‘s ultimate collection, which includes the base game, its season pass and a bunch of DLC packs, and 70% off the entire Darksiders franchise pack, which includes Darksiders Warmastered Edition, Darksiders II Deathfinitive Edition and the deluxe edition of Darksiders III.

There’s also 20% off Moons of Madness, 50% off Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (just in case you need a double dose of COD after today’s launch of the new Modern Warfare), 40% off Overcooked 2, and 40% off Disgaea 5 Complete to name but a few of their scream-tastic deals.

If you prefer your scares to come in the form of shooty bang bang games, then GamesPlanet have between 6-12% off the brand spanking new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Alas, the 12% is only reserved for folks in the US, while us chumps in the UK get 6% off, but hey, a deal’s a deal.

They’ve also got 44% off Devil May Cry 5, 50% off Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, as well as 53% off Fallout: New Vegas and 61% off Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, just in case you need another Obsidian fix after / instead of playing their new game, The Outer Worlds.

Plus, if last night’s news of Watch Dogs Laanndaaann (sorry, Legion) being delayed made your heart do a small permadanny, then UK buyers can take a nice glug of Frutopia by getting 72% off Watch Dogs 2 this weekend instead.

And don’t forget: if you’ve got a bit of Asus hardware and can be arsed to register it on Asus’ Armoury Crate software, you can get even bigger discounts on many of the above and more through Asus and GamesPlanet’s new Game Deals program.

Meanwhile, over on Humble, it’s Undead Week, which means there’s 25% off on Control for the next three days, as well as an even tastier 34% off the recent Resident Evil 2 remake. If those aren’t spooky enough for you, then how about 60% off Vampyr, 50% off Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment, or 30% off Graveyard Keeper?

There’s also a huge sale on everything Witcher related, including 70% off The Witcher III‘s Game of the Year edition and 50% off Thronebreaker, as well as 34% off one of our previous Can’t Stop Playing favs, Streets of Rogue.

Finally, GOG are holding a Post Apocalyptic sale, with highlights including 50% off Frostpunk, 70% off Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl and 40% off the very lovely FAR: Lone Sails to name just a few.

Elsewhere, there’s also 20% off They Are Billions, a nice 66% off the standard edition of Battletech, and 55% off The Surge.

Wait, I told a small lie. This is the final game deal this week, although it’s not so much a deal on an individual game as a deal on a whole bunch of ’em. You see, Amazon are currently offering three free months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (that’s for PC and Xbox One) when you buy a three month pass. All you need to do is buy here if you’re in the UK, and buy here if you live in the US. There’s a limit to one per customer, so you can’t go and buy loads of passes to get even more free months unfortunately, but if you’ve been thinking about giving it a go to play games like The Outer Worlds, Metro Exodus, Sea of Thieves and loads more (see here for the full list), then this could be just the time to jump in.

UK / US hardware deals:

As Black Friday draws ever closer, I’d advise against spending loads of money on new hardware right now, as you’ll almost certainly find whatever you’re hoping to buy is a lot cheaper in a month’s time than it is now.

That’s all for this week’s deals heralding. As always, some of these deals may get snapped up pretty fast, so apologies if some of these have already gone by the time you click on them. Until next week, happy hunting!
