Describe Cyberpunk 2077 in eight words and you could win Nvidia's cyber-yellow RTX 2080 Ti

Nvidia Cyberpunk 2077 RTX graphics card

Remember when Nvidia unveiled their special (and slightly heinous looking) Cyberpunk 2077-themed RTX 2080 Ti graphics card back in February? Well, now you can try and win one from GOG if you fancy decking out your PC with this fiercely yellow version of their flagship GPU. All you need to do is describe Cyberpunk 2077 in exactly eight words without using the game’s title. Easy, right?

You’ll need to post your description over on GOG’s forum before the end of their Summer Sale, which ends on June 15th and 1pm UTC (that’s 2pm BST or 6am PT). Then GOG’s jury will pick “the most creative and unique answer” as the winner. The only restriction is that you have to be over the age of 18 in order to enter.

Nvidia’s blinding cyber-yellow graphics card isn’t the only Cyberpunk-themed PC component in the works, of course. Steelseries are also making special Cyberpunk 2077-themed gaming headsets based off their entry-level Arctis 1 and top-end Arctis Pro headsets, and there’s also going to be a special edition Xbox One X and Xbox Wireless controller as well. You know, just in case you wanted more Cyberpunk peripherals in your life.

I should point out, of course, that Nvidia’s RTX 2080 Ti is likely to get replaced quite soon by one of their upcoming Nvidia Ampere GPUs. We’ve already seen an alleged RTX 3080 in the wild, for example, and the current online rumour mill suggests we’ll see an August launch for both the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090.

Naturally, those cards will cost you a heck of a lot more than winning an old one for free, of course, and the RTX 2080 Ti isn’t exactly a slouch when it comes to overall gaming performance. It’s still the best graphics card you can buy today, and it’s got more than enough oomph for running most games at 60fps a 4K resolutions on high quality settings. Admittedly, CD Projekt Red haven’t announced Cyberpunk 2077’s PC requirements yet, but given that one of their E3 2018 demo looked pretty darn great on just an GTX 1080, I’m almost certain that an RTX 2080 Ti is going to be more than enough to run the game when it comes out in September. I mean, heck, I certainly wouldn’t mind winning a graphics card that normally costs well over a grand for absolutely nothing, even if it is about to be replaced by something newer and faster.

So, if you fancy your chances, pop your answer on a virtual postcard and try your luck on the GOG forums. And if I see anyone nicking my “Breathtaking Keanu Reeves adventure that’s definitely GOTY material” entry, I will be forced to enact the rule of “dibs” and claim your prize as my own. Keanu will make sure of it.
