Minecraft Dungeons unique items guide: how to get the best gear

Getting the rarest gear

Featured post Looking at the Wind Horn in the artifacts inventory screen in Minecraft Dungeons.

When slashing your way through action RPGs like Minecraft Dungeons, you’ll always be on the lookout for a new gear. The best toys that are available for your hero are the unique items that shine a glorious orange, sought after because of the additional abilities they give you.

After the full list of Minecraft Dungeons unique items, we will explain just what exactly unique items are and what rarities actually mean.

Our list also includes unique items found in levels on Adventurer and Apocalypse difficulty, as well as every single unique item in the DLC packs.

Minecraft Dungeons unique items list

Unique items are the best gear you can find in the game. They can be found either as random drops from defeating enemies, as rewards for opening chests, or randomly appearing when purchasing an item from the merchant at the camp.

But what are unique weapons? Well they’re variations on the regular weapons and armor you can find, having similar stats if you compare them to the common and rare versions.

In fact, the only difference is that unique items have an additional ability, but they’re usually abilities that can make up the missing piece of a build (our Minecraft Dungeons best builds guide has some ideas for that). For example, a level 8 Diamond Pickaxe has the same base stats, including damage, as a level 8 common Pickaxe; it just also happens to have 89ithe ability to find more emeralds.

The list below contains all of the unique items in Minecraft Dungeons discovered so far, and will include all the unique effects.

Minecraft Dungeons rarities

Whether they are weapons, armour, or even artifacts, all items have a rarity assigned to them.

Rarity indicates the quality of the item that you have picked up, but the only meaningful difference between common and rate items are the amount of emeralds you get for salvaging them. Levels do not affect your likelihood of getting different rarities, so you can find unique weapons and armor at lower levels.

Below are all of the known item rarities in Minecraft Dungeons:

  • Common: White
  • Rare: Turquoise
  • Unique: Orange

Selling looted weapons and armor is one of the most efficient ways to get more emeralds, but there are other methods that are better for farming emeralds early on. Check out our Minecraft Dungeons emeralds for more on that.
