Best PPSh-41 loadout and class setup in Warzone

The best PPSh loadout in Warzone.

In Warzone, we’ve had a submachine gun problem for a while now. The PPSh-41 is here to save the day though, bringing in a brand new SMG into the meta for a ridiculously-fast time-to-kill and a whole lot of potentially great attachment combos. In this guide, I’ve put together the best PPSh-41 loadout, including secondaries and equipment. The meta is always changing, so look out for constant updates.

How to unlock the PPSh-41 in Warzone

The PPSh-41 can be unlocked through the Season Three Battle Pass. In order to unlock it, you need to level it up to Rank 15. You don’t need to purchase the Battle Pass either, just play the game and you’ll get it unlocked and usable.

Best PPSh-41 loadout in Warzone

Now you’ve got the PPSh-41 unlocked, here’s how you should use it! I’ve gone for a single loadout in Warzone for the moment, and it’s best used as a close-range SMG in the same manner you’d use a MAC-10 (or a pre-nerf FFAR 1).

Here’s the best attachments at the moment for the PPSh-41:

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor (Level 46)
  • Barrel: 15.7” Task Force (Level 48)
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip (Level 41)
  • Ammunition: 55 Rnd (Level 8)
  • Stock: Spetsnaz PKM Stock (Level 45)

This class is all about making the PPSh-41 as mobile and rapid as possible, whilst also keeping some level of reliability at close ranges. You’ll really enjoy it if you liked the feel of the FFAR 1. It’s bizarrely laserbeam-like, with a ridiculous amount of accuracy which you’ll only increase with your attachment combination.

The Spetsnaz Grip is the main one here - it’ll mitigate any recoil increase from your 15.7” Task Force barrel, whilst keeping the brilliant benefits of damage range and bullet velocity the barrel brings.

The 55 Rnd mag is here to give you more of a shot at taking out whole squads with fewer reloads required. I haven’t gone for a bigger mag though - they slow your ADS time down far too much for the extra bullets to be worth it.

The iron sights on the PPSh are absolutely fine, nice and clean (in my opinion), so you don’t need an optic attachment. That’s freed up some space for a couple more - including the Spetsnaz PKM Stock, which is great for mobility whilst you’re aimed down sights. Basically, it’s a strafing machine, and you can dodge bullets like you used to be able to with the FFAR.

Last but absolutely not least, we have the GRU Suppressor, which takes you off the minimap while firing, but also improves your recoil control even further and helps out with damage range and bullet velocity. A must on most weapons, put this on as soon as you unlock it.

This PPSh-41 has a GRU Suppressor, 15.7 inch task force barrel, spetsnaz PKM stock, Spetsnaz grip, and 55 round drum mag.

Secondary weapon

This is a great gun to run alongside an Assault Rifle or Sniper, so go for the CR-56 AMAX if you want a really strong long-range AR, or try my Kar98k loadout if you want to use it as aggressive sniper support. There’s also the brand new Swiss K31, which I’ll have a guide up on as soon as I’ve had a bit of time with the thing.

Best PPSh-41 loadout with Perks and Equipment

Here’s what Perks and Equipment to use with the PPSh-41:

  • Perk 1: EOD
  • Perk 2: Overkill/Ghost
  • Perk 3: Amped
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Stun Grenade

EOD and Amped are often a go-to in Warzone for me. Too often I get baited by thinking I’ll survive an explosion and then dying to the blast. EOD makes that far less likely. Amped is something I use so much it’s become second nature - I feel naked without it. That improved weapon swap speed is a must-have, especially when you need to follow-up your snipes or react to a flanker by quickly bringing out your PPSh-41.

Ghost is the perk to be going for after you already have an ideal secondary along with the PPSh. Staying off the radar from UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors helps more than you realise, and helps you get the drop on enemy teams who don’t have it.

The Semtex got buffed, and it’s a good choice with this loadout anyway. Now, even with EOD, enemies will be guaranteed downed when you stick them with a Semtex. In general though, it’s a great choice for area denial and when you’re pushing foes. On a similar note, Stun Grenades are perfect for when you’re pushing an enemy building with your PPSh. It can completely immobilise them to let you just trundle on up and kill them all.

That’s all the info you need on the brand new PPSh-41 and its loadout! Why not have a look at the fantastic Warzone Audio Bang podcast, as well as tips on which guns to pick with the Warzone best guns tier list.
