French project marked down for 360/PS3, though who knows maybe it might come to PC as well. Not live footage, just CA atm, but great CA: -

Augmented reality and memory manipulation have taken control of peoples’ lives.

You can now digitize, buy, sell or trade your own personal memories. The last remainders of intimacy have been swept away, in what appears to be a simple extension of the development of social networks and geolocation at the beginning of the 21st century.
The “surveillance society” has been accepted by the citizens themselves, in exchange for a few technological benefits. It is a reality that no one even thinks of challenging anymore.

This memory-based economy gives an immense yet uncontrollable power to a handful of people…

CA is lush if nothing else and some nice wallpapers if nothing else.

Looks interesting. A self-brought dystopia received with open arms, based on the things taking place today.
The page isn't loading for me. What genre are they aiming at?

3rd person action/adventure though. They are at Gamescon apparently.

Intriguing subject matter, very Fahrenheit 451-ish in the sense of the people having chained themselves. That shot of the Eiffel Tower is phenomenal also. Will be keeping an eye on this one.

Wait, what, a game that has a dystopian world not created by some totalitarian government ripped from 1984? Colour me impressed, I'll be watching it for that fact alone.

FLOODING!!!! (http://www.dont-nod.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ADRIFT_working_title_1920_1200_Concept02.jpg)

I think I just squee'd.

So is this (http://www.dont-nod.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/ADRIFT_working_title_1920_1200_Concept011.jpg) dystopian Paris? I confess that my city-recognition-fu is not what it perhaps could be.

It's a very interesting setting, I hope they do something equally interesting with the gameplay.

I wouldn't hold my breath.

The neo prefix makes everything awesome. Man oh man.

It's nice to play a game which is set in France for a change. I'm getting tired of America.

A French game set in France is hardly adventurous. But I agree that it's an interesting setting on account of how harshly the world we're presented with here clashes with the romantic, sensual, and above all human associations we have with France and French culture in general and Paris in particular. If we were looking at Tokyo it wouldn't be nearly as disquieting because it looks like a natural extrapolation of the qualities we associate with Tokyo anyway.
