when i am not getting smashed, playing video games, and writing depressing short stories about the collapse of modern civilization, i go out for pleasant walks to pick up more booze with my ipod and a heavy selection of podcasts

so what do you fine nerds listen to these days? i will start with my stuff

the best show on WFMU (a three hour show. it's slow but it's typically amazing.)
the breaking bad insider podcast (a companion piece to the show breaking bad. interesting if you want to hear how they did that shot under the floor or whatever)
comedy bang bang (wildly uneven but i still come back for it, so whatever)
earwolf presents (just the analyze phish episodes, but they are good and they reaffirm my hatred for the band phish)
KQED-FM's the writer's block (also wildly uneven, but the recent justin torres episode made this young cynic cry)
the pod f. tompkast (paul f. tompkins is a talented motherfucker)
RISK! (also uneven, but pretty good)
this american life (i keep coming on and off to it, but they always have something interesting to say)

your turn.

I listen to the Freakonomics podcast since I started running a couple of weeks ago.

I'm almost through the archives though, so I'm going to follow that up with with Three Moves Ahead.

Radio Lab is the only one I listen to regularly.
This American Life, if the topic seems interesting (a lot of it is a bit too US-centric, I guess the clue is in the name).
Rum Doings.. Because it's John Walker and sometimes they stumble across interesting topics and ramblings.

Still mourning the death of Idle Thumbs and visit the archives now and then.

Rum Doings (http://botherer.org/tag/rum-doings/). John Walker and Nick Mailer chat for 42-or-so minutes. Hilarious and edifying.
RadioLab (http://www.radiolab.org/). Science, philosophy, other interesting stuff.
The PC Gamer UK Podcast (http://www.pcgamer.com/category/podcast/uk-podcast/). PC gaming. Generally funnier than the magazine.
My Brother, My Brother, And Me (http://maximumfun.org/shows/my-brother-my-brother-and-me). Three brothers dish out amusing advice on issues that are emailed, Twittered or Formsprung in.
Regular Features. (http://bumland.com/regularfeatures/podcastgen/?p=archive) Some chaps from Official Xbox Magazine, Official Nintendo Magazine, and maybe others as well have little competitions. Examples include "What am I - a volcano, or a paedophile?" and "Choose the old wives' tale remedy for x". It's quite funny, but very sweary.
The Rock, Paper, Shotgun Electronic Wireless Show (http://rps.libsyn.com/) (if they ever record another episode). Echoes.

Football Weekly (http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/series/footballweekly)
The Tuesday Club (http://thetuesdayclub.libsyn.com/)
The Ihnatko Almanac (http://5by5.tv/ia)
Back to Work (http://5by5.tv/b2w) - Merlin Mann's latest thing
This Week In Google (http://twit.tv/twig) - I go back and forth with TWIT stuff, taking months-long breaks, then catching up a bit. But Gina Trapani and Jeff Jarvis are wonderful.
PiCast (http://pihalbe.org/picast) - one-man German podcast about tabletop games, mostly RPGs
