It quite silently just popped out.

Has anyone else played it, what did you think?

The first few levels are quite confusing and, even more confusingly, boring. There's a turorial which tells you what you can do but not how, and the first actual course is fast but absolutely nothing happens.

But soon the "survival" part of the racing game starts to flesh out, with walls, sawblades and huge Rocks popping in and out of the race course. It gets exciting very fast, and you start to master your Ride.

The Controls are quite wonky. For example the flight mode that's triggered with 'F' will be a dissapointment the first few times you try it, because if you think the up key is still the accelleration, you will dive down VERY fast. But really, a mad racing game like this is the one game absolutely entitled to a gamepad control scheme. (No, I'm not looking at you, skyrim.)

Did you manage to drive it round the block? I'd like that car in real life. that's what a racing game shoulg make you think!

Oh wait, this game is free? I'm downloading it right now!

I got to say, this game is brilliant. I played with a pad, so I can't say how are the controls using M&K, but I think its really great to have a free bastard child between Trackmania and Tron. Tronmania.
Oh, actually it's a spiritual sucessor to Rush 2046.

Tronmania, indeed. Reminds me a bit of NYR: New York Race for some reason too.

I've only had a short play through of the story mode levels (all 7 of them) a few days back, but was quite taken by it. And surprised by how manic it got so quickly. There isn't much in the way of learning curve. More, learning holycrapLASERS.

Just played through story mode and the first three hardcore levels. Really fun game, getting the hang of the wall ride took me forever, but once I figured it out it feels awesome. More racing games need moments where you say "oh yeah, I can fly!" Also lasers and saw blades.

Also free! And really really 90s, which I think is a good thing. Reminds you of a time when games were about going fast in futuristic cities, non of this newfangled iron sights regenerating health realistic damage model in a city modeled after a real city shenanigans.

Wow, Wow, Wow this is fun. I'm terrible at the game and I'm still having a blast and I can tell it's going to get even more fun if I can get better at it.

I absolutely love the aesthetic here--the lasers, the pop-up-obstacles, the TRON theme, the wings, the way all the turbo and attitude jets look on your car. So sexy.

Best indie racer since Igneous! (Oh, gotta go play Igneous again...)

Also, I've resolved that whenever I'm tempted to complain about games that don't let you rebind your controls I'm going to instead plug AutoHotKey which is a really slick, easy, streamlined way to re-map your controls when the game won't let you.

Regarding the controls, if you have a gamepad you'll want to download this slick DLL that makes the game think that your pad is in fact the XBOX360 gamepad. It even has a Settings application so that you have a fancy GUI instead of fiddling with INI files. Useful for console ports and indie games that only care to implement XInput...
Cross-posting from the forums(Doubles as shameless plug for myself on other forums):

You will have to download the 32bits library. The first exe is a GUI so that you can edit your presets with a graphical interface and not changing number in a textfile

Just adding another(better) option in case AutoHotKey doesn't work for some reason..

My bad, you are correct, edited the post for clarification.

Ok, so I started in on the hardcore levels and discovered this isn't just TRON-themed Trackmania. This is TRON-themed Rollcage 2!
