I'm a huge fan of Lord of Ultima and MMORTS games in general, anyone play that type
of games in here ?

I feel like I'm the only one enjoying them on the "forumsphere"

I have played a few. Battleforge was very good,... I stoped playing because was crash happy and the game only rewards you for finishing (hence losing means double penalty). There was some pvp in this one, but was dominated by rushers.

I played for a while one that looked like Starcraft, I don't remember the name... I specialized my army in putting mines in the battleground. That one was good too.

I have also tried Saga (http://www.playsaga.com/) that was mostly coop and singleplayer missions. The graphics where horrible, but the game was strangely fun for a while.

I probably have tried others, ...there are some that are seriously unfun (one about magical avatars), and a few about isles floating in oceans/space/ether where vehicles travel in real time ( 1 hour ingame = 1hour irl ).

Thanks, I'll look into those.

I agree there are a lot of absolutly unfun games of that type.
They pollute the potential of honestly good MMORTS.

Do you know any forum for MMORTS gamers ? I've found 2 or 3 but they
are all completly deserted.

End of Nations is the only one on my radar. It's due this year, free to play (and not pay-to-win, see http://www.endofnations.com/en/game/free-to-play ), and has a beta signup (but isn't running yet). The preview videos gameplay style is reminiscent of World in Conflict.

CoHo was ace, but abortive and barely counts as mmo.

A nice tactical (eg not pumping out units and epic micromanagement) mmorts would be great though.

I'm still waiting for a game to deliver what Sovereign promised, or for SOE to resurrect that project.
