Hi, I saw that the public showed interest in I44 and I thought we could play it, so here is what you need:

The planned session will start in Saturday 4th August 19:30 GMT
You can play I44 with the latest beta which is 1.62
If you have any questions post them here or PM me.

Downloading. Will we play default MP missions or do you have some custom missions in mind?

There are some missions in the ARPS mod server, and I think they are player made

Can't wait, will there be another Capraria mission? I loved attacking Coroso as part of the US Airborne as a medic, and attacking the villa nearby, and that god awful attack on the bunker and how we had just as much trouble getting off the bunker hill...

Good times. Hope to see an event soon.

Yeah that Capraria session was epic; charging up that hill then retreating and regrouping and charging back up.

You forgot 'leaving Ansob behind'. That was the best part.

I commanded that mission. Leaving Ansob behind was easy, getting people to leave him behind surprisingly less.

I should be there also.

erhmaehgud. There seems to be some confusion about the exact timing of the session tonight.. Is it intended to start at the regular Tactical Tuesday time?

Missions played during the session:
-Patrol on Bulge
-Aloft on Omaha v2
-Verteidigen! on Omaha v2
-Air Raid on Chernarus
-Achtung Panzer! on Omaha v2
-POW Escape on Merderet River (Winter)

After that, I left so I don't know if any missions were played after that. AAR soon to be followed hopefully.
Overall, was pretty good, considering no one had any idea when was the exact time (19:30 GMT or GMT+1 and who was supposed to be organizing).

I hope you guys were happy with the mission selection, had a lot of fun on Air Raid aswell, now if we finally figure out how to man all the gun positions on the bombers we can maybe do it properly next time.

And we also need a dogfighting mission.

Great seesion! Didn't stick around for the last mission, but all of the other ones were awesome! Very much fun was being served today :)

Patrol on Bulge

Just your regular kill enemies at markers, but, I HAD A FLAMETHROWER. Burned some infantry, also completely annihilated a tank with it.

Aloft on Omaha v2

Had us paradroping over occupied France to destroy enemy AA emplacements. House rule was to use only direct comms during this mission.
I landed on the ground, but completely lost sight of my CO, Ivan. Saw some friendlies around, so I joined them. As the only NCO, SuperU was leading this squad of about 5 or 6 men as we went to the RV point. RV'ed with the rest of our people and attacked the AA batteries, then assaulted the town. Somewhere along the way, I found Ivan and followed him.

Verteidigen! on Omaha v2

Der Panzer!
Radio Operator:SuperU

Overall very easy mission. All the stuff that was coming towards us was a cakewalk for a fortified Tiger. More time was spent trying to translate what do all those ammunition types for the Tiger mean than killing tanks with it. A lot of Shermans were destroyed that day, although that enemy mortar fire was pretty tough on our infantry.

Air Raid on Chernarus

Hurricane pilot. Shot down some 109's, crashed my plane into a friendly in mid-air, during a rolling scissor no less.(sorry Draakon, I think it was you). Attacked an enemy AA emplacement with HVAR rockets, and then our base exploded for some reason.

Achtung Panzer!
PZKskvdks IV panzer (maybe)

Why are tanks in I44 so awesome and vanilla arma2 tanks so sucky :(. Very good tank battle mission, with lots of enemy tanks, statics, trucks, infantry. We prevailed in the end, stopped the enemy counter-attack, and retreated south, with loss to only 2 of our tanks.

The Aloft mission was superb, easily one of the better missions I have played in Arma, it was so atmospheric - especially the way we played it with the voice coms.

I was the Medic and when I hit the ground I found I had no weapon, not even a side arm. I started hoofing it south and finally spotted two fellow airborne on the far side of a field, they were too far away to communicate and by the time I crossed the field they were already into the next. Halfway across this next field I suddenly spotted a German fixed MG emplacement and immediately dropped to the ground to assess the situation, which turned out to be really lucky as I then realised I was right in the midst of a German patrol who had been alerted to the noise of either me or the two previous airborne crossing the field, they were searching around so I had to crawl for ages back and forth in a real game of cat and mouse before finally escaping.

As for the sudden explosion that totalled our base at the end of Air Raid, I know who that was, but I'm not petty enough to name the guilty bomber pilot for it as that would seem churlish. No wait, I am that petty - it was Phalanx. :)

Sorry I wasn't there, I know that if you organize an event then you should be there, but when I got back from camp my PC was kaput so I had to repair it and only today I got it working.
I see that people enjoyed it and that's good, also to whoever took the responsibility of hosting it - thank you.
