View Full Version : The Gameplay youtube service

It's always hard to figure out why a game or mod doesn't run properly on a PC you built recently. The best way to figure out the root of the slowdown would be to compare your PC's performance with someone else's.
I figured, since I have a ton of games, an HDMI capture system set up next to my PC and not much time to play games, I'd use what little time I have in service of my fellow PC gamers. Here's the deal:
Every Saturday, the most requested game of the week *that I own* gets to be played at it's highest settings for 20 minutes. The gameplay will be recorded using HD capture hardware in 1080p, so there will be no FRAPS/screen capture slowdown issues. FRAPS will be used only to display the framerate. From there, you can ask questions in the comments of the video once it's up or here to get tips on how to improve frame rates on your system.

The videos will show two things:
How games run on a specific system
How overclocking affects performance - if any.

Here are my PC specs:
core i7 3930k @ 4.5ghz
Asus Rampage IV Formula
16gb g.skill RipjawsZ 1600mhz ram
gigabyte gtx580

As you will see from the ilst below, you have your pick from a wide variety of titles.
