Thanks for the recommendations peeps. I'm downloading Op Star now. Just got to work out to play it!

Is the older version of Op. Star patced up to date if you buy it through Matrix - the discount only applies to Matrix and Slitherine stores so need to buy through them?

It's a shame Mius Front doesn't seem to be available in either store? Do you lose much going for the older Operation Start?

Hmm, I already own Unity of Command, though I'd forgotten about it (oops!).
Will go take a look at Operation Star. I tried Distant Worlds but never quite got on with it - though I've sunk many...

Just got a rather nice surprise in my email. Turns out I've had an account with Matrix/Slitherine for 7 years so they've given me a 25% off coupon to use on either store over the next 30...
Does anyone still play this or have any comments on how it is now? It's on special on Steam at the moment, but if memory serves it got a bit of a "meh" reception when it launched.
I notice this on sale at Matrix/Slitherine (never thought I'd put those words together in a sentence!).
I like the idea of a deep space based 4x game. Would people recommend it? Is it worth...
Upgraded to the trial version of Windows 8.1 last night, and it kindly didn't tell me that AVG free edition wasn't compatible, so now all I've got is Windows Defender as AVG software.

Euro Truck Sim 2
Hmm, this might be just the ticket - found it in the customers also viewed section whilst I was looking at monitor stand neema-t suggested:
Thanks for the link Ravelle, but not really what I had in mind. Rather than something under my desk, I was thinking more of something that would clamp to the edge and then sit at an angle to one...
Ulp! Yep, that's a lot more than I had in mind... :-(
Anyone have any experience/recommendations on stands to hold your PC keyboard? I have a very small desk, and by the time I've clamped a steering wheel to it, or stood my Saitek joystick on it there...
Yes, I've just picked up IL-2 1946 for $3.99 on GoG. Any recommendations for add-ons or patches before starting out? The download list includes a Universal Update 1.0.1, so anything other than...

Kerbal Space Program
Lunar Flight (though I guess that's continuing development after release)
According to Bohemia's Dev Team, we're getting an updated beta imminently too. They reckon they've fixed an awful lot of the more glaring issues (yes, pathfinding, I'm looking at you)...

How'd you manage that? Just looked, they're double the price! Even the used ones are £55!

Hmm, sorry to threadjack, but I already have a reasonable pair of audiophile Sennheiser's, so has anyone tried any of the clip on mics out there and can recomend from personal experience? I was...

Seems like a pretty good deal, so how has this progressed since launched? There was a lot of anger with it's condition when it came out, lots of bugs and poor performance, but it's had some 6 months...

Did they ever patch the core game to a decent level? I always stayed clear of it, partly becuase of the DRM, but also because there were so may problems reported when it first game out - crewmembers...
Just had a look at a video of this. Looks interesting (ish):
From one of the guys that formed Microprose back in the day (I loved M1 Tank Platoon and it's sequel).
Sounds interesting... is this what you meant?
Haven't dug into it but came up on a google.
That sounds like Take on Helicopters. Looking forward to that when it comes out later in the year, along with another game Bohemia are working on, Carrier Command Gaea Mission - another blast from...
Back in the day, I used to have a flight sim on my old Atari 800 where you delivered mail around America - might even have been a mode in one of the early MS Flight sims. With Take On...
