SS1 is the superior game, but SS2 is damn good as well.
Good music is more important to me than good graphics, really adds to the game. Games like Divinity 2, IceWind Dale, Black&White, The Witcher 1, Planescape Torment etc wouldn't be the same without it.

Nah you're just lazy. Not every game is built the same. Spend some time getting used to the controls etc and then it's a breeze. Never understood people trying to play older games and giving up like...
Nexus is brilliant. And it still looks amazing more than a decade later.
Also, Space Rangers 2. A dynamic, living universe that no other game has matched yet.

Started Max Payne 1.
What a game. Dripping with atmosphere. The comic book cutscenes are top notch, the voice acting is superb, gameplay is fluid and fun. Music is very fitting as well. What a...

Shift 1. Must be one of my favorite racing games. Great mix of sim and arcade. Great sense of speed, races are thrilling, looks gorgeous, and i really like the career mod, and the...
No they don't. Their worlds are subpar compared to games like the Witcher or Gothic / Risen.

Going through TDR2000, what an underrated game. Better than Carma 1 and 2 as a game, though Carma 1 and 2 are good to fool around with.
Also making my way through Betrayer, not a bad little game....
Yeah, hopefully. They used that disaster Gamebryo for long enough. Though i have a feeling Fallout 4 is running on that same stuff.

I see. Well they dont bother me, I like how it _feels_ im controlling a human being. Slow, deliberate, etc. Matches with the rest of the game.

What do you mean by tank controls? They are great, no issues at all. I like how Lara's movement feels weight-y and with momentum.
Zero issues with controlling the game. The animations are...

Tomb Raider 1, first time playing it. Grabbed it from GoG. Its glorious. Game must have been a real treat back at release. I mean 20 years later and Lara's animations are more believable and fluid...

Little montage for this excellent game
I played the demo and thought otherwise. Hurts to look at it. They could've easily made it twice the resolution, then it could be playable. Maybe it will work in an ipad sized screen or something.
Looks pretty dumb so I'll pass. Little cars bouncing and pushing a ball around? Who thought this a good idea?
Sounds good on paper, but looks horrible. I rather playing something else rather than risk going blind trying to see whats the screen.

Anno games are too "linear" in their progression. You always must satisfy the same needs, and go through the same building order of upgrading citizens etc.
Patrician you are free to do whatever...

Playing Gas Guzzlers Extreme - very very fun. Looks great and is polished. Good stuff, didnt expect that.
Malestrom - very very janky and rough, but it tries new things and is quite enjoyable. Old...

I loved Aquaria. Great little game.
For me its
Hidden & Dangerous 2, best tactical shooter, period.
Armed and Dangerous. Developers of Giants, less ambitions, but absolutely hilarious and...
This is what im talking about. Unique abilities and spells that can be fun to use.
Thats the thing, im currently playing PoE and magic is not interesting, and is predominantly made of -,+ and %, for this or that stat.
What about fun stuff like for example Bioshock's plasmids,...
Can anyone recommend me some games that have distinctive spells and abilities, and not modifiers and percentages. +5 this or +10% that is just tedious.
