It is, in some cases, capable of producing genuine wonder and awe. Sneaking out of human space in my unarmed Diamondback I felt genuinely isolated and afraid, clinging to barren rocks for...

I did definitely like him. Mainly I enjoyed a genuinely, properly dangerous villain.
Geralt's killed gods and monsters, but this guy? It's one of the few times in an RPG I've walked away. My...
You guys aren't just being picky. For all its wonder Elite has systems that are aggressively anti-play. Take for example the assassination missions; the first thing you have to do is wait around for...
I hope you're not all dissing on the AX, I bloody love mine. But then again, I actually use it for exploration. I think I've fired its guns in anger once, to slag a very optimistic novice pirate.

I'd love Crusader Kings smashed into FLT and Sunless Sea. Death should be damaging and inevitable, but not about restarting the game over. I'd love to build a space corporation over time. Loosing...
I'd love a game where this is taken further, with emergent narrative being the star. I've locked up in a previously enjoyable EU4 campaign as Japan because I've beaten my neighbors. I could spend...
One area it really falls down is the kind of play you get in Crysis or MGSV and indeed FC3 of scoping an enemy, planning an attack, sneaking in and either being awesome of having it all go to pot.
RPSers, I need your opinion on the latest expac for Crusader Kings II
I usually ignore steam reviews, but every single one is bad, and some of the stuff in there is a bit worrying.
How is it?
Company of Heroes a la 40k.
Which is what I thought I was getting in DoW2
Is this a thing?
I've got a copy in good condition upstairs on a shelf. It's been sitting there for years.

I loved this.
It took patience mind, and the AI was kinda unworkable.
I never played the Xpac, was that any good?
This is, I think, as good a question as any.
BBC New report brought me here for more info.
This is madness. I honestly don't know how anyone can not say "yup, this stuff is nuts, and wrong without question, no ifs, no buts."
I'm pretty sure it's not, given that most people won't even know what the sentence means.
In fact, I'm not 100% myself, but I don't have anything like the disposable income to buy a PC that would...

No, but since the birth of my child I find I'm become re-sensitized to things. I'm more empathic and sympathetic, more vocal, less capable of dealing with fantasy violence, and more, much more,...

Your quote near enough sums up why I can't be a part of this community anymore. Spilt milk? Death threats and mob behaviour? The tiny minority thing is utter crap. Minority or not there are enough of...

Gamer has never been a word I've used to describe myself, any more than "Eater". However, I have considered gaming an important part of my life and I've felt part of the wider gaming community.

We've made three pages out of two sentences that Cara went back and qualified.
Her piece is not about race. When you write large bodies of text you're likely to put something in there that's...

I don't know what to say to this, but I feel I should say something.

Has Cara caught some flak from degenerates recently? Or, is she referring to the grief Sarkesian has been getting.
Yup! Agree whole heartedly! Whenever she decides to use Bioshock she seems to feel a burning need to miss the point and over simplify. I'm not a fan of hers, nor a detractor. My main issue with her...
RPS Forums make me chuckle on this one.
It's all very comfortable, very nice, no misogyny, no nastiness. But, essentially, most of us here seem to think that Sarkeesian is basically wrong headed...
That was the bit that rang truest for me.
I honestly, genuinely believe that in some ways, video games have had an adverse affect not only on my life, but my very brain chemistry.

The Ottomans are a real power for virtually all of Europa Universallis IV, and you can also play them in their nascent state in the later dates of Crusader Kings II(also by paradox.)
